basically youre connected to someone (or something) and youre either the detective or a robot in a chat room.
if youre the detective, the other chatter has to pretend to be a robot and talk to you as one. if you suspect they are a robot/imposter you say "you are a robot/you are an imposter. if youre a robot, you have to try and convince the other person that you are not real.

I'm pretty sure robots will only say anything if you say something, so if you just wait like 10 seconds and they don't say anything it's probably a robot. Most impostors try to open the conversation so you know it's an impostor. I've only ever missed one first guess because of one dude who also seems to have noticed this trend.

They should probably make the robots speak before being spoken to.

Being the impostor is way more fun.
