After taking the ETF2L title last season, nameLess (recently dropped by nerdRage) took a big hit when star captain and demoman kaidus retired due to his wrist injury. With the British demoman gone, the team looked for a new player to fill in the missing slot, and have decided to pick up spudd from Perilous Gaming to join the roster.

This will be spudd's third Premiership team in his career. He made his first splash in the top European scene on Danger Dogs. After the team’s run at i55, he then joined Perilous Gaming and shared in third and second place finishes in Season 22 and Season 23 respectively.

spudd shared his thoughts on joining the team:

Since kaidus' retirement, I knew there was going to be a big hole left in nR. He was the captain, main caller and their all-round player. Having to follow up on a performance such as that or to even come close to that performance will take time, but I'm confident.

Looking forward towards the coming months, with events such as DreamHack Summer and i58, I hope to have cemented myself within the team and become a fundamental part of the team overall. Having previously attended some of the other Insomnia LAN events (i46, i52, and i55) I hope to achieve great things with nR, but would still like to wish Perilous Gaming the best of luck.

Due to Perilous Gaming qualifying for DreamHack Summer 2016 with spudd, he will not be able to play with nameLess during the upcoming DreamHack Qualifier. However, he will be able to play for the team at DreamHack should the team qualify for the tournament.
