In particular I'm wondering if the default jump and crouch buttons are used by high level players? I've always found that combination tough for rocket jumping.
for crouch a lot of people use shift, some use RMB
everyone uses space tho
everyone uses space tho
i use ctrl to crouch and shift to jump
(i am not a high level tf2 player)

If someone can post orzo's demo config that'd be great.
He had like spacebar to shoot/detonate stickies, M1 for forward, M2 for backwards, I don't even know what other crazy organization of the left side of the keyboard was involved

i use default and i think a lot of ppl use shift to crouch so they dont have to stick their pinky out as far
some people also use mouse 2 for jump/crouch to ctap

I'm pretty sure there are people floating around who come from a quake background that use scroll wheel for jumping. I remember that it helped with bhopping, but it's muscle memory for them now so they stick with it.
only different thing for me is mwheelup/down for jumping cause i'm a sperg who likes to pretend to bhop
I use default binds, however I have unbinded both mousewheels because I tend to accidentally touch them and I wouldn't want to change a weapon because of it.
Also I have added some extra binds, like item loudout presets, "kill" on K and medic binds to mask/fake uber. At least we aren't playing Turbine anymore, I have accidentally suicided a lot more than I've dropped the flag.

I just use a Razer Orbweaver keypad. It has much better button placement than a standard keyboard (in my opinion).
disclaimer not good player
esdf movement, q primary, w secondary, a melee, mwheeldown + space + mouse2(on soldier) jump, shift crouch

People that use mwheel to jump played HL & HL mods not quake :P Quake = mouse2 in most cases

duckjump alias bound to m2 on scout is super helpful imo. and bind duck to something other than ctrl.
but it doesn't really matter, just try different things out to find out what you prefer.

I spent like five minutes touching these keys and trying to imagine playing this way. does he turn his keyboard sideways or something? no fucking way you can comfortably hit every row from numbers down to mod keys on the far left that nimbly.
