Quickfire keyboards are really good. Also unless you have actually used the numpad and prefer it over regular numbers, don't get a TKL. It saves a lot of space tho.

Firstly, make your mind up if you want a numpad or not. If not buy the keyboard then. If you do want one try browse around for a mechanical (I'm assuming that is what you meant by "real" keyboard) keyboard with a numpad for around the same price (if you're on a budget that is.) If you're not on a budget then the best bet for a good mech is Corsair K70 RGB or (if you wanna be that guy) a Razer Blackwidow Chroma. I'm also assuming that you've already picked on what type of switch you want (if you even know about them.) If you have absolutely no clue on what switches are, it is probably best to research about mechanical keyboards more before you decide on buying one.

Any CM Quickfire will do, they are cheap and very good.

If you're unsure on switches, reds are ones that I guess are preferred for gaming, with browns and blacks following.

blues are awesome if you want to give the impression that you're doing something mega important and quick.

I would say try out which key you like at a big box store that sells mechanical keyboards. DON'T BUY A RAZER KEYBOARD FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

I personally like blues but I highly suggest browns if you like the tactile responsiveness. Browns are likes blues but not clicky so you dont piss off your team mates :)

What are you on about? I have a razer blackwidow, it's almost 6 years old and it works like a factory new one. Maybe they're overpriced, I don't disagree with that but their quality is actually good.

old 2013~ keyboards had cherry mx and were ok but the new ones dont have cherry switches and some people want cherry switches

also some people like red switches let them like red switches

i have blues and people living with me bitch about how loud they are sometimes as amazing as they are for typing feel

also what's a slightly softer (less resistance), clicky, quiter mx blue? i don't think people clsoe to me like listening to the mx blue

a 60% keyboard is also option (further remove more keys on the right. arrow keys and function keys) its also smaller width wise unlike tkl keyboards to my knowledge

What's worth 1,000 words is going to Best Buy and typing a few sentences on the various display keyboards to get a sense of it. Also, consider something like a Belkin N52 or a Razer Orbweaver.

i mean the gamepads are interesting but have you ever used one? if so what were your experiences? they don't really look that feasible to me but i'd love to be proved wrong

keep in mind you can always buy a separate numpad, there are several options ranging from really cheap crappy ones to rarely use around ~$10, as well as super nice mechanical ones around $60. Having owned one that I use basically only for buy shortcuts in counter strike as well as my accounting homework I just found one at the local office depot.

You mean TK. TKL means tenkeyless, so no numpad at all. The Quickfire TK cuts out the section between the main section and the numpad, while the Quickfire Rapid (tenkeyless) just cuts off the numpad.

+1 for the Quickfire TK if you want to keep the numpad and reduce space (also known as 90% keyboards).

I use one at home, and with AutoHotKey have it setup so that I don't switch between the numpad on/off modes. Instead I hold control as a modifier for arrow keys and other functions. Works pretty well, but do note that the bottom row is not standard layout. Specifically the spacebar is almost impossible to find decent replacement keycaps for. I've just got a new keyset in and have had to leave the original black spacebar in.

Other notable keyboards in this area are the Cherry 1800, Plum 96 and then it's going into the customs market.

K70 or bust! It's a very well-built keyboard and comes with media keys and USB passthrough (The non-RBG version).

I also have a Cooler Master Quickfire TK http://gaming.coolermaster.com/en/products/keyboards/quickfiretk/ I like ijt because it's a middle ground between a smaller keyboard, and not having a numpad altogether (arrow keys and pg up and those ones are merged with the numpad)

idk if the quickfire tk is any good, i mean, i don't like the idea to have arrow keys and numpad in the same place.
more over, a key is set for this thing, i mean when u press this key u can use arrow keys and when u press it a second time u can use the numpad and i don't liket this idea tbh.
that's why i think im going to buy the corsair k65, who's in my opinion a very good keyboard!

Not sure what you mean by feasible but I have used my Belkin since 2008, being one of the oldest pieces in my setup. I took the joystick off the d-pad and just use them as extra buttons.

fwiw I am by no means a great player so YMMV but it's more comfortable.
