Is ESL the organization that was shady cuz it was being run by active pro esports players? Or am I thinking of something else?
edit: what I was thinking of is WESA

most companies at one point or another was considered "shady" in this case you might be referring to CPL but I'm not sure.

"and do pretty well"
From a competitive standpoint I could tell so many flaws that I won't bother writing all that shit down on a single TFTV comment. If Blizzard says they developed the game competitive play and e-sports in their mind, they are just lying or, more likely, don't know any traits of a good competitive FPS game. Hell, it's subreddit already surpassed CS:GO's one, which is one of the best and longes running competitive FPS games, though this only shows how casual the Overwatch community currently is.

To people that say TF2 is pretty hard to spectate, i feel OW is even worse... it's just a shiny clusterfuck.

I had fun playing this during the beta but I can't imagine how you could entertain a stadium and thousands of viewers at home with the limited spectator tools the game currently offers
the way they use bird's eye view triggers me

Is competitive Overwatch even generating enough interest?
Like I know theres 300x more interest than in tf2, but I keep seeing that seagulls viewers make up 25%-50% of the entire OW viewer base on twitch.100k seems really exaggerated atm.Nevertheless, I'm happy for the ex-TF2 players who made it.

It's really just a first person moba with fps maps.
Definitely caters more to a pub-stomp setting than a team-based fps imo.

Especially with having to pick and choose between 10 different POVs in a firefight, but tracking the Ultimate users could make it interesting if the spectator commands cater to quick-switching

it's much harder to use properly than standard FPS cam. However if done right (for example in shade demo reviews) it's pleasing and the overview makes the game much easier to follow.

cool more incentive for people to play this garbo game

Game will be dead in 3 months, TF2 will have economic and competitive prosperity for the next 3 years followed by a potential recreation of the game on a newer engine. These are the goals.

Twitter link doesn't work anymore?
100K on the line, get ready for some cancer class comps. The game is actually still broken. No class limits. Several overpowered heros (McCree, Widowmaker, roadhogs hook etc). 20 tick. I like the game but TBH it still feels exactly the same as Beta. It needs some fixes still.

That's absolute bullshit, it's favoured by like 90% of the pros who give their opinion. The only ones I can even think of who dislike hl1 currently, admit that with more heroes the game would be better hl1.

Custom games are 60 tick. McCree and widow maker are under review too.

i think 60 tick is still broken in custom lobbies, if you check it and start the lobby, the server crashes with an unexpected error at end of char select.
edit: here's a screengrab i just got. it crashes at 2 seconds always and boots you back to character select indefinitely.

wish tf2 could have had these sort of prize pools... i haven't been this hyped up to compete in forever though.

most tournaments are running hero limit 1 now, which makes the game a lot more fun and interesting imo.
