We shall see, the game being successful is a 50/50 chance we all know Ubisoft un-predictable game company when it comes to titles like this ; such as wildlands which is looking alright, I'm afraid its gonna be too boring playing SinglePlayer

I'd buy it once the price goes down and it's on sale for under 10 dollars, like I did for the first one. It wasn't terrible or anything but not worth anymore than 15 dollars.

The first Watch Dogs game was aggressively mediocre in every respect. This certainly looks like an improvement, but at this point I wouldn't buy an Ubisoft game unless it was on sale at a steep discount.

Things I liked:

• Black protagonist in a flagship Ubisoft title. Even Malaria Simulator's protagonist was white. Also, he's not Aidan Pierce.
  
• Hacking looks slightly more involved than this.
  
• The design of the weapons. 3D printed guns that look like they came straight out of CS:GO? That flail thing that's apparently an actual thing that anarchist nuts make at home? Hell yeah.
  
• The ironic Tumblr aesthetic is miles better than awful old 9GAG memes. Though I did spot some rage faces in the character trailer.

"We want to allow the player to play the game however they want; guns blazing, full stealth or hacking their way in" (paraphrased).
Whenever someone tries this, the stealth/hacking/etc paths are always slow and gimmicky and the fastest, easiest and most efficient way of completing the game is just running and gunning, and if you fuck up the stealth/hacking route you just fall back on running and gunning anyway. Seems to be a recurring marketing phrase.

Also, the game just looks like another generic open world cover-based third person shooter with push-button-to-hack gimmicks.

I mostly agree with all of you... these things make E3 more interesting; seeing these new games that we didn't expect and see where they take the game to make it fun; make it interesting for the gamer to keep playing. Ubisoft might fuck it up as everyone thinks but in my eyes/in my opinion, I have faith in them. They know what everyone thought about Watch dogs 1; they claim that they read feedback from people who bought the game. So in my eyes I think Ubisoft will pull this off. I'm not pre ordering obviously because I'm 50/50 with this game, its gonna be alright not terrible. I might be all over the place with this but basically, the game is gonna be one of the best games ubisoft has made along with Wildlands. And its gonna be a huge comeback from The Division (in my opinion). But thats the way I think about this whole thing with Ubisoft and Watch Dogs 2, just my opinion nothing more... But I gotta say, I'm excited for what everyone has to show us at E3 :)

If you're talking about FC2, that's not true. There isn't any set protagonist in FC2, you choose between a list of them. Some are white, some are black. The ones you don't choose become your "buddies" in the story.

Never played the first but this instantly looks a lot more appealing to me. I love the brighter colors and I'll buy pretty much any game set around the Bay Area.

Game is probably gonna be pretty meh but the trailer was fucking awesome

i'm cautiously optimistic. they are taking into account the problems the first game had (driving was godawful, game was overhyped and trailers were blatant lies, movement was bad, etc) and seem to be fixing that. we'll have to see more gameplay at this point, but i'm just hoping its an AC2 type of thing where the second game is a lot better. watch dogs had a lot of neat ideas but also had a lot of glaring problems; i think #16 had it right in describing it as "aggressively mediocre." would be very sad if this game was bad.

would also urge everyone not to buy until reviews and performance info are out.
