Except pr the top3 teams right now in NA have players who were the top a year ago and practically don't scrim yet still just roll the new teams.

I actually find that some people who have somehow built negative reputations are perfectly fine to play with in pugs and scrims

My favorite TF2 format is 12v12 pubs.
I just wish more skilled people played in pubs and there were alive community servers that aren't 24/7 badwater or some kooky mods.

The only time where the standard in one continent's scene has been straight up better than the other (outside of one outlying team that was better than everyone in both regions) was i46.

Until this year where I think the standard in NA is better than EU again.

The thing is that the more people are good at pubs the worse it becomes, when you realize that 12v12 with no classlimits and shitty PL or A/D maps is a horrible experience if the goal is to win.

very few invite players put more than 20 hours a week into tf2

I don't think it's about being offended as much as it is being bored of the sheer unoriginality of it. I'm literally diagnosed on the autistic spectrum (Aspergers) and I've never been offended by autism autistic autist and so on in my life. I do however get bored to death by how people use those words over and over and over as a substitute for actually thinking about what they're saying because it's easier to spout a bunch of taboo words and get a cheap reaction that way (if they even get a reaction at all with how desensitized most of the gaming community is to it by now) than to be genuinely witty.

Like, I'll admit I'm guilty of it myself sometimes among friends, I think almost everyone is, but I get the impression a lot of people just spam things like that indefinitely because they can't be bothered to think of anything else to say. It's just filler.

I think we honestly worry too much about the overall quality of any tf2 league, be it Invite, platinum, or prem.

I'd rather play new maps more often even if they're not balanced that well, than play the same 4 maps or so all the time. Applies to CS:GO as well.

pubs aren't fun with more than 2-4 good players because it always devolves into people trying to gay each other for doms and binds

I don't really get bothered by people using offensive language but I've never met anyone who says this shit regularly that wasn't annoying as fuck in other ways too. People who make rape jokes, use the word autistic as an insult, or say nigger as an irony are 99% of the time assholes. If the only way u can think to be funny is to try to offend people you're probably not a very interesting person
