To be continued at i58, I guess? That or private lan in a hotel room, if they can get enough laptops.
TsarbucksShould have been a real life fist fight

Please, not in the parkinglot. After the first punch they would just park the bus.

Sideshow made that ending like an absolute champion lmao
Every single lan we get boring anticlimactic grand finals. The one damn LAN where the finals were close and extremely entertaining this happens....

They're in a very different area. They have their own stages with dedicated seating, we're in a booth that's in the exhibitor area which doesn't allow event pass holders in after 21:00 and we already got an extension to 21:30. Dreamhack has never properly supported TF2 short of featuring DHW (and DHS? Not sure) on their site, our booth here is courtesy of a company called esport united.

Alright I'm sorry, I wasn't aware of that.

honestly this is heartbreaking. incredible job from the production team and players to make this the most exciting lan event this scene has seen in a long long time, and heres to hoping i58 will be even half as good
Man this LAN was the GOAT, unfortunately it got denied an awesome finish
For shame, really
The production team really has outdone themselves

I have to be honest: I thought the way Sideshow delivered the news was absolutely hilarious and perfect in every way. If I didn't know I swear I'd assume it was scripted especially the bit where Admirable walked into the frame and showed Sideshow out. Felt very organic and took my thoughts away from that anti-climactic finish.
Why was there even a handicap on this game on saloon.tf? Even Crowns vs nameLess didn't have one. But one of the faviourites of the lan in the grand final had a handicap. How does that work?

kKaltUushorasCouldn't find them playing on ETF2L vs each other plus schedule was wonky so I had to make it on a quick note (eventually got stalled because of coach kaido getting benched) but once it's up the handicaps can't be adjusted. Maybe if I have more time I'll look into it but I can't afford to sit behind the PC too much on my birthday, sorry.kKaltUuhttps://saloon.tf/match/318Why is there a handicap on this match, but none on previous? Like nL need a handicap against Perilous, but Crowns don't need one against nL?

1.5 map advantage to nameLess. meaning if nameLess takes 2 maps (taking the match to 5 games) they win the saloon fixture.
That is such a bullshit handicap too.

wait what happened i missed the last part of the stream who won?
If you don't agree on the handicap then don't bet on it.
DamnEasyThanks for the skins perilous fangays 4Head
Lord_Maximus_Willhammer...
nL haven't played vs Perilous this season, but I don't see how this and the lack of kaidus coach (not like any other team has a coach at all) are actual reasons for giving nL a handicap.
colboltIf you don't agree on the handicap then don't bet on it.
I placed a bet straight away 'cause I didn't expect a handicap in a grand finals game at all. Last ESEA final had over 80% bets on RONIN - no handicap. Last ETF2L final had almost 90% bets on nR - no handicap. Not like I'm gonna be really salty about losing a key, but giving nL victory on saloon would be total bullshit.

You should probably read what you're betting on before you do so...
No matter if the handicap was justified or not, it was there for everyone to see, if you bet and didn't notice it then that's your own responsibility. Readjusting the handicap in retrospect would be total bullshit.
You're complaining that you can't read a message right in front of you.

I am complaining about it being here in the first place. I noticed it like 5 hours ago, but the response I've got was like "idc it's my birthday".

It wasn't my intention to seem like I didn't care, it's more to explain why I couldn't commit like I wanted to. I reached out before to get some indications for spreads but didn't get any response back. I'll try to either plan around big events or try to find someone to take over.
As for the handicap, it was set up to 1.5 map advantage for nL since they were the clear underdogs.
This was the minimum handicap to make a reasonable difference since the match was a best of 5.
I just got home and catching up with what happened so I will look into if the bets should be nullified or stay open but I don't have the information for that yet. I'm inclined to return the bets but I'll discuss it with the saloon staff before making any decision.

Nurseynameless were underdogs....?
Yes based on their performance this etf2l season and during the other matches in the tournaments, they were underdogs. Which makes the handicap justified since they had to win 2 maps which is much harder than 1 in a bo3.

After losing kaidus, they were underperforming in etf2l (currently 7-3 in maps while perilous are 10-0) and they lost to perilous in 2 maps in the UBF so most people considered them underdogs and expected perilous to win the whole thing (you can see that everyone bet on perilous on saloon). That's why the GF being close and going to a 2-2 (and sadly ending that way) generated that much hype.

Even after those matches in ETF2L top players still tought of nameLess as one of the favourites of this lan. And also perilous didn't do that well. Yes they won, but some maps were very close and as casters said they could've easily lost some of them. So I really don't see how nameLess were underdogs.
