The clockwork hate in the comments is real lol. I bet they probably don't even know that he is playing Overwatch competitively now.
"He may be good at tf2, but if he can't even kill a Genji with just 200 health in Overwatch, he must be so bad at the game that there's no way he could actually understand if it would make a good competitive game or not."

He's bad and don't have any competitive sense. In this people's eyes every mechanic is a skilled mechanic and all of them should be balanaced to each other equally (which is not creating any dynamic). All of his responses meanwhile is blabber - clockwork's point is wrong because this game is a game and have game basics like "countering" and number advantage.

If you go back to On the Point Interview with Clockwork, you can see the Overwatch community has spreaded in the comment section.

Not sure if it's a thing any more but during the closed beta if you mentioned anything negative about overwatch in any way you'd have to fend off overwatch fanboys who hadn't played the game yet but were willing to fight you to the death about it.

"Widowmaker and soldier76 require good aim" roflmao I had to take a break in order not to die.
Anyway, imo this guy has never touched an actual competitive game in his life.
I mean, when someone describes arena fps players saying "like quake players who love to aim ahead of people to deal damage with rockets or whatever" you know that the guy has spent his whole life saving money to spend on the next amazing cod limited edition.
I'm not even gonna say anything about his ideas on strategy or positioning, he just kept bringing up the stupid "you just gotta know how to counter it" thing (im triggered tbh)
Mix it with all the fascinating and 100% not brainless or idiotic comments that only blizzard fanboys are able to come up with.
Overwatch ain't a bad game at all though

He also completely missed the point of Clockwork talking about eaziness of using discord orbs and related that only to healing orbs and how you don't have to aim medigun in TF2, which is something completely different.

"clockwork seems more like a whiney bitch more than anything. he comes from tf2, where your ridiculous amount of practice in the engine can yield skill based advantages (knowing how to rocket jump is a key part of tf2) overwatch is more like a moba, where your skill doesn't get you out of bad situations, it's supposed to help you prevent getting into them in the first place. so sorry you cant get so good at the game that you can clear an entire map by advanced rocket jumping and smurf everyone else in the world right next to your wallhacking lmaobox sponsored "professional" snipers whom were all just recently VAC banned (IMO the tf2 pro scene is a joke). good luck with your dying game, im busy having fun."
these comments are awful lmao

from the comments of the interview video :
Wtf did I just watched? "Overwatch is like Dota2". Shit, bro, keep playing your hat simulator with the best hitbox of Games. I've played TF2 for 4 years, it's done for me. I love the community but the Comp is too closed. I've played once on Silver League. I know too many guys that plays even better than comp ones (includes you), but they don't have the opportunity to play on it. It's closed, the same guys keeps on different teams. Hope ValvE put the score as class and K/D/A, so we can see who's the best on the class, who haves the best K/D/A and etc. Last thing: remember, Overwatch is from Blizzard, not Source. They know how to update contents and manage a game to success.]

holy fuck i hate this guy
he talks like he knows literally everything and i can practically hear his snide grin whenever he tries to counter something cw said. he fails to consider quite a few things in his counter arguments and also really forgets to mention that cw is not only a tf2 pro but an ow pro as well, making his opinions quite a bit more valid.

i think if you did have to track the medi-gun, playing medic would be a lot more appealing to me and i'd even consider learning to play it, but i understand why it would be a bad decision because it would change the game.
i'm curious if clockwork's opinions on overwatch have changed since this video.

and then clockwork went on to roster with one of the top teams in the game with his opinion almost unchanged

that said a lot of the youtube comments are kinda valid. TF2, Quake, CS, and other shooters are kinda bad for the vast majority of players because silvers get stomped 100% by people just one or two skill levels above. A game that isn't based so heavily on just mechanical skill allows bad players to "luck out" and win based on a good team comp or strat occasionally. That's something that makes Overwatch more accessible and more fun for newer players

"Clockwork is a platinum sniper for the team froyo (one of the best competitive teams in tf2) and is one of the greatest tf2 players of all time. He is likely referring to overwatch in a competitive sense, and he is right"
"have you never heard of UGC? Its a prestigious tf2 competitive event"
