edit: what do I do to get the big yellow damage numbers back on my stock hud. My hud used to be edited with big yellow numbers in place of the small red ones

its the first day guys 0.0 MvM was exactly the same and that turned out fine. The servers are just stressed right now, give Valve a day or two to fix it

yes, depending on the time in ur region it will prob take some time to get into a game. u cant even do anything else while queued which is fucking stupid

Haven't played outside of walkway testing yet but if it is actually locked to viewmodel_fov 54 that feels way too low for a maximum lock

I mean fuck I'd be fully content with 70, minmode viewmodels with 70 fov look honestly great for almost every weapon I've tried it with I'd say, but 54 just looks too squashed down to the bottom to look "right"

hurrykannI am so happy about the matchmaking part finally being out, but they still haven't fixed the biggest issue that most people who have Intel GPU+Nvidia GPU and uses the Optimus solution. The game starts to leak, memory leak...Most people will see

EquaLI'm fine with the speed boost for med (don't agree with it, but I am fine with it). it's a small change that changes a lot of how the game is played (I would assume). But I really hope this is not the last change to the meds speed/buffs for medic. Small updates that change enough is what a meta needs to be alive, same shit over gets old. In the future some other kind of buff would be cool but removing this current one for medic and scout. Example would like:

(this one might be shit but you get my point) this way sollys get more love.
This way game (meta) would feel more alive imo.

About not being able to pick team pyro or team heavy - using dxlevel 91 fixed it for me (i was on dx8 previously). Im not completely sure if it's related to your dxlevel or just a pure coincidence on my end but the "no connetction" error fixed itself right after i switched to dx9 and i was able to select a team

Does anyone understand the XP system really? I just played two matches, won them both, and my XP didn't budge. Level 2, 1430 xp if that's helpful at all.

EDIT: Three now. Someone else said they're stuck at 0 so I'm guessing it's some Valve issue and not me being so good there is no way to assign me a higher rank yet.

The quality of game you get with casual MM is a big improvement on quick-play Valve pubs. It reminds me of playing on community servers back before quick-play existed.

Now that medic can move as fast as scouts I think transitions will speed up greatly. There were so many situations where the medics limited mobility slowed down aggression... and now that is gone. Really excited to get back and play.
