Yeah, it is great to join valve pubs. And sometimes, that's what I want to do. Want to play cp_gravelpit on a decently full server? quickplay gives me 10 options

I do but we don't have any real community servers in Australia
all of them are trade/idle

to be fair community servers like skial / firepowered / whatever are usually pretty shit and filled with retards

I always joined valve servers from the server browser too, it was actually faster than quickplay
also I've never had a bad experience on a skial or firepowered pub

I've used quickplay maybe a dozen times and have never once been given a server on the same continent as me. I play on the East Coast of NA and have only ever received Luxembourg, Stockholm, and Dubai.

vilehate to say it but i don't think i've ever met a normal person outside of 6v6/hl except a few. casual tf2 players can be pretty weird but this is reddit though.
