The #1 reason why I'm hesitant to commit to playing competitively is because I think people will judge me for my voice.
My dad got blood cancer 5 months which gave him weak muscles, itchy skin and he hears badly. This lead to him having very bad moods. I find it very hard to deal with this, it frustrates me and at the same time it makes me sad since it's cancer, he can't do anything about it. Sometimes I have to repeat phrases 4 times and sometimes he scratches constantly in public. He can't leave the house really because his legs hurt most of the time. I do not feel responsible enough yet to take care of him or do things that he usually does to make everyone happy at home. This makes me feel really bad sometimes even when he's not even around and I don't know how long it will stay this way and I don't know if he's going to be cured. I sometimes hide my feelings by playing games or reading forums like these, but I know it's not really helping. Perhaps untill now.
church doesnt have to be a bad thing
even if you aren't religious, you can use that time to meditate
i don't identify as catholic anymore but i still go to a mass or two every couple months just to meditate.
as for the rest of what you said, welcome to being a teenager. take solace in the fact that basically every teen on earth goes through the same stuff, especially after relocating.

guys what do I do I'm really skinny and too self conscious to go to the gym but I want to get bigger
mmrarkteguys what do I do I'm really skinny and too self conscious to go to the gym but I want to get bigger
Start small, try taking a walk outisde, after that start jogging. After that go jogging, do longer runs as you go outisde more. You can take a small break to breath, but you can also do some small workouts for just a few minutes. If you do this for a while you can decide for yourself if you want to go to the gym.
As for the skinny part, make sure you eat enough (and healthy). It's actaully better to eat small amounts of food consistently during the day instead of just eating more food a few times a day.
Hope this helps, it did for me at least

The majority of the people in the gym just mind their own business. Everyone starts somewhere and as long you don't do some retarded shit no one really cares about you

it makes me rlly pissed that people defend Islam and act like it isn't the single greatest threat to western civilization
capnfapnI appreciate the compliments I get about my looks on my LFT thread but at the same time it would be nice to have more of my friends say nice things about my DM/gamesense. When all I hear is "myles is so cute!" I wonder if thats all they have to say :/ I just wanna be called a fragger!!
yewlWandumi fucking hate it when people phrase their statements in such a way that they indirectly jerk themselves off
I'm sorry if it seemed like I'm trying to stroke my own ego. I was afraid I would come off like that. I just feel like a lot of the people who have been posting here lately about how disappointed they are in their lack of improvement. I guess I've been improving, I think it's just my relatively high inconsistency gettin to me. I really wish I could play at my best more often becuase I know that if I could I make a decent mark on the game.

StockholmsyndromWhat are some fun things that I can do without internet? (On my PC).
Minesweeper and Solitaire can help you pass the time
If you have internet on your phone you could play Hearthstone or VainGlory
I went 6 months without a computer I know it's awful

hello, i know this is sort of abrupt but ill try to keep it short. i know this may come as a shock to a lot of my peers but this is just something that i had to get off my chest, because ive been keeping it a secret for a while now :/ i guess all this time i just wasnt comfortable with my identity and i thought people would think of me differently if they found out. Hi my name is kevchev.... and im a bany sub :') these past 5 months have been such an emotional struggle learning to accept my identity as a bany sub. The first time i knew i was a bany sub was actually also the first time i was airshot by grant. i distinctly remember watching the ingame chat immediately after i died, and i had goosebumps running down my arms when i saw that he had typed "l8r idiot". And from that moment i was just...so... starstruck that i had to pull out my debit card :') thank you for your time, i hope you understand :')
vriskim a gay boy with homophobic parents and it sucks so bad. People just tell me to cut them off when I turn 18 and move out but I don't wanna do that because I love my parents.
I think the part that hurts the most is when something about LGBT people gets brought up and they talk about how disgusting it is
if they love u too i dont think theyd really even care too much (or possibly too much but not too long) if you came out
i'm a pretty homophobic person but if my child was gay i'd probably get over it but idk that could just be me
that's def a shitty situation tho

ya it's not good or anything but i wouldnt say its the single greatest threat to the fucking west lmao

if you think homophobic parents don't "really even care too much" or that they'll just get over it you really do not understand people or the dynamic at work here

It's getting harder to justify sponsoring competitive TF2 when the community is so toxic and shitty to anyone and everyone that tries to help or has anything but the most pessimistic outlook

I've helped a lot of people come out and in general, the objection to a child being homosexual usually comes in one of two flavours.
1. "I love my child and I don't want their life to suck/be hard/be full of prejudice"
2. "I love my child and I don't want them to burn in hell"
In almost all cases I've found that 1 is easily circumvented, but 2 takes some time. Essentially though, I've only really met a handful of people whose parents honestly and legitimately chose their religious beliefs over having a civil relationship with their children.
I'm not saying that every ultra right wing religious conservative parent comes around fully and starts marching in pride and 100% accepts, but plenty of people have strained relationships with their parents in adulthood.

I'd go even further and say just supporting comp tf2 in general. The drama thats going to happen when b4nny asks for the gunslinger/powerjack to be unbanned will be insane.

I like comp TF2. I like contributing to and supporting it. I think it has real merit.
I just think the community needs to grow the fuck up

Sometimes I feel like the only person who believes comp tf2 isn't going to die. Most people make out like it already has.

i used to feel really optimistic about it but in the last month or two it really just seems like it's going downhill, in combination with top teams/players leaving and valve being incompetent at advertising what really is comp tf2 (not their piece of garbage) as well as incompetently making their matchmaking system
i don't know why the latter is happening (only guess is they only want to promote their kind of "competitive"?) but i think it's a downhill spiral in influencing the former; why play tf2 which doesn't have any bigtime or (now, seemingly) any future comp support from devs when you have overwatch and all the things tf2 doesn't have, regardless of the quality of the games?
obv people will always play tf2 but i think people are more worried about whether that will be in any satisfying capacity or not :(

You'll only get judged on skill. As long as you can comm decently and not play like a person who just got the game, you'll be fine.

I think it's silly that everyone gets pissed about valve not communicating even though they've had a slew of blog posts detailing exactly what they think is wrong, and how they're fixing it, in the past month.
Even if you think it's "damage control" and won't last, the proper response isn't to shit all over them for doing something right lol

i think it's really moved from that to just people being upset that something they wanted so much (comp support + matchmaking) isn't really good at all, despite a lot of updates. i'd really also say that the general opinion of valve's communication is a positive now.

Korean immigrants go to church with a bunch of other koreans cause it has a community aspect, job opportunities, community, going to other parts of the world and doing dangerous missionary, but adventurous work. Free meals prepared if you don't have anything or sick. most korean's are atheist, infact I think half of the korean population is atheist, but once they come to america, more than half of the korean american population is christian, including catholic denomination. Even though there's homophobia and the church pushing creationism, I still go to church to go do camping, canoeing, or do fun stuff with other korean peeps. I just sit and play the game and take what I can from it.

most modern right wing politicians are corrupt, homophobic, racist, sexist, xenophobic old white men. the fact that most don't "believe" in climate change alone is proof that conservatism is an out of date political philosophy. how can intelligent rational people be against liberalism when the other option is this??
are you legitimately saying that hillary is a better option than trump?
or gary johnson? or jill stein?
you cannot legitimately convince me that any of those would be better than trump, especially taking into account hillary's corruption and past, gary johnson's support of the TPP, and the fact that jill stein is straight up nuts

the topic of american politics didn't even pop into my head when typing that post. pretty ignorant of you to assume all political discussion is related to american politics.
