i don't follow the overwatch competitive scene. what's the incentive for people who are good at overwatch but a tier or two below the best teams like c9, rogue, etc. to play? are there small tournaments where they can make enough for it to be worthwhile? do they get sponsored by orgs large enough that it's financially sustainable?

basically how many people can make a full time career out of overwatch

i mean the overwatch competitive scene seems really forced to get more players out of tf2 into overwatch imho, and you could see that with many players including about half of ronin's mains are leaving (assumed to be for overwatch). I mean blizzard's sponsoring like a 300k tournament, but teams aren't really stabilized yet

With that logic there would be no incentive to play competitive tf2. Those lower level teams might enjoy playing the game, and right now there is no way of knowing if the "tier 1" teams in overwatch now are still going to be the best in a year.

No team in any serious game is the best for a year. Fnatic csgo is close but I don't think they won everything. It's definitely never happened in dota.

I don't really care if people see me as an asshole here, I do wanna say that having slin on the team was pretty fun for the most part. It's pretty shitty co cut him so soon after Grand Finals but with him asking when we would be playing again I didn't want to lead him on about a decision that was already made, and I wanted him to have as much time as possible to play again next season.

If anyone cares about reasons, there were a lot of mistakes slin made that were beyond critique, stuff liking walking into a sniper who's already been called and already killed someone, or backing up into a choke to a soldier called 10 seconds ago and dying. Stuff like that happened far too often for me to be comfortable taking you into invite. What sealed the deal was the night you argued with marm for at least 10 minutes saying that him staying behind and blocking second capture by killing a scout and then a soldier was the wrong play and he should have been at last fighting the ubered combo. I don't wanna get too much into specifics here but there were a few players who weren't going to be able to play well next season, regardless of how much you improved because of their attitude.

Anyways, the way I cut you was shitty but I knew I was going to be busy this week and I knew the whole team wouldn't be back together for a while, and I didn't want to wait over a week to tell you when you could use that time figuring out what you want to do next season.

Ok so you need to first throw your hard drive away, wipe it, there can be nothing left. Next take two gallons of gasoline and soak enough towels to evenly cover your house. Take only your dearest belongings and burn the house down. At this point you wont have much time before the fire is reported, so quickly get to the nearest public transportation (DO NOT USE YOUR OWN CAR) take the transportation to the nearest airport and fly to a country that borders a non-extraditable country (I recommend Belize). Now that you are home free you are able to stop worrying about LE and focus on your main goal. At this point you wont have much money to last you very long so your first priority is to find a source of income, and to not be killed. Id recommend starting some type of a farm, start growing produce lets say banana's. It will take quite along time for the banana's to grow from seeds so you should invest your current money/assets into an already existing farm. That way you are able to harvest as soon as the time comes. Now that you have a source of sustainable income you can start plotting your revenge, you are going to be a smart asian man in a foreign country so you need to impress the natives and show them that you are much smarter and better than them. You are good with computers so you could show them how to build small computers and play some games or something. It needs to be something that will amaze them, you are trying to start a small following here. Once you have gathered this small following you need to assign roles to your followers, you need some people to preach the word of slin, and some people to protect you and do tasks for you. At this point your name will start to go around the town wherever you are, and you need to be protected. Id recommend at least two armed guards at all time with you and getting an armored vehicle. The armored vehicle doesn't need to be a HUMV or anything like that but just a car with bullet proof glass and reinforced 1 inch thick steel. You should be able to contact a local mechanic for something like that, I've seen them do stuff like this in the Die hard movies. Now that you are a protected and well respected man, with a small militia you need to start convincing your followers that Sam is satan. We're talking full blown hatred for this man. Show them pictures of him, whats hes like and tell them what he did to you. Ok, so you are going to need to cut yourself, like physically, because when you say that he cut you and you have no scars they will think you are lying. Id recommend a kitchen knife on the thighs, from personal experience razor blades are too finicky and done leave much of a scar. Now that they have full blown hatred for Sam, you need to think of how you are going to fund youre ultimate revenge. Most peoples first thought is drug's. Wrong. Drugs are dangerous and bad for you and you dont want to do that. Insider trading is where the real money can be made, there are plenty of forums on the DNM that can guide you with real insider information (pm me for links/how to's). Now that you have some big bucks its time to start supplying your militia with some artillery, these weapons you are buying now aren't for anything but intimidation factors, Sam still lives in a different country and Jose and his Ak-47 aren't going to be able to do anything to him. You still need to gain more followers so you are going to force people to join your following, and you will start a small community. Once you have enough followers your time to strike is now, these people are so brainwashed that they will die for you to get revenge on what Sam has done to you. Legally speaking these people aren't able to enter the united states, but with the help from your friends on the DNM you have just gotten two dozen fake passports for Jose and his cousins, you will fly them into a major city and stir up some ruckus. Before you let people know why you are there you need to assign one person to track Sam so when he trys to run you can find him. You are a morally good person so you dont kill anyone or commit any acts of terrorism, you just have your followers spread your name. You need some stunt that will let the general public know that you are coming and what your'e coming for. I'd recommend graffiti on a major monument/building saying something about how you are coming for Sam. At this point he will most likely go into hiding, but because you were thinking ahead you know where he is. You capture him, put some chlorophyll on a cloth napkin and smother his nose and mouth. I know its cliche and what happens in all the movies but its effective and efficient. Once you have captured Sam its time to get him back into the country, but you aren't going to just be able to get on a plane with an unconscious body and send him home to you, you need to roofie him. He needs to be conscious enough for you to get him on and off the plane without anyone noticing but he's still agreeing to simple commands, like take off your shoes etc. Once you have finally have him you ask why, and you ask for a non bullshit answer. Then you put him to work, 10 hours a day 7 days a week on the fucking banana farm until his fingers bleed. 1 year and you send him home. You got your revenge and you let the child go. You spend the rest of your days wondering why you cared so much about a stupid game and get fed grapes by Belize babes next to your pool.
