loltfis the site dead?
By count of active playerbase currently? I suppose so, yes. But our beta is accomplishing exactly what we want it to do: resolve bugs, point out flaws, and improve the site. Info on the site's future (including its full release) will be posted soon™.

Can we organize a night to get a lot of people on tf2stadium? Maybe like Saturday night, and post it to reddit too and see what happens? I guess maybe it would be better to wait until it's launched but considering it's already better than tf2c and the only reason people dont use it is that nobody uses it, this could work maybe. I remember people mentioning doing this but I don't think I've ever seen a date put on it so it doesnt happen

Is this project abandoned? if not, will you be hosting events to fill up lobbies at specific times? People are asking for a TF2Center alternative but I don't see much reactions from the stadium staff

here's feedback for tf2stadium
when someone leaves your game, the system requires 5 people from the server to rep this person. this is dumb, you should make it like tf2center where it auto reps the person who left the server.

It should do this after a certain amount of time. Could you link the lobby so we can look into it?

I still had fun even with that lobby being short and no sub available.

Hey guys,
It's been about 6 months since we released the site into open beta. We’re going to be frank here, things didn’t go exactly as we expected. With the site getting a lot less traction than we had hoped and things going on in our own lives, work on the project started to fizzle out and since then we’ve been keeping the site going and performing some under-the-hood improvements, but not really expanding the features we have available.
However, in the last few weeks we’ve seen a bit more support for the site and a lot of us have realised that we started something back in July 2015 and it would be a shame if we gave it all up. It’s been a genuine pleasure working on the project and bringing something new to the TF2 community and we’d like to continue doing that by making TF2Stadium the best it can be. One way we could improve that instantly jumped out at us was facilitating better communication between ourselves and you guys. We’ve gotten a lot of use out of the Steam group and our TFTV thread, both of which we check regularly, but we wanted to take things a step further; this is why we’ve taken the decision to set up a Discord server allowing you guys to not only communicate with each other, but communicate with us a lot easier than before. Alongside this, we’ve setup a bot that announces new or nearly filled lobbies so you can get straight into a game without having to check the site! You can find more information over in the Discord, check it out: https://discord.gg/zp6fJqY
On a somewhat related note we have some work going on behind the scenes on upcoming stuff and we’re looking for more help in both our front and backend development teams. If you have any experience using Javascript,Golang, Docker, Python or Sourcepawn please do get in touch with either GC or myself .
Stay tuned for more upcoming cool stuff in the near future ;)

Its such a shame how much effort and money is going to waste just because of the laziness and fear of change people have.

Hey all. Following up the discord release (https://discord.gg/zUgxbwD) we've got another batch of features ready.
First off, saved servers will now (optionally) store your RCON password. We previously didn't allow this due to security concerns; but since you're trusting us with the plaintext RCON password anyways (to setup and monitor the lobby server) we're now allowing you to choose to let us save it for you. Manage your saved servers here: https://www.tf2stadium.com/settings/servers
We also have 4 more features based upon suggestions from the group running http://chapelaria.top . If you're playing TF2 in South America, give them a shot! Their features are:
1. Lobby shuffling: lobby leaders can shuffle a lobby (players will stay as their chosen classes, and they will un-pre-ready after a shuffle).
2. Save recently used maps: when creating a lobby, we'll remember maps you've recently used and show them at the start of the map list.
3. Discord lobbies: As an alternative to mumble lobbies, you can now enter in 2 discord channel invite links as part of the lobby creation process and players will get the correct link when the lobby starts. NOTE: unlike mumble lobbies, we don't own or anyway control the discord server
4. Custom team names: The lobby leader can rename the teams (like in tournament mode)... though the names won't persist into the actual server (yet!)
As always, if you're interested in joining in on creating new features (or improving existing ones), feel free to reach out in our discord (again, https://discord.gg/zUgxbwD ) or on github ( https://github.com/tf2stadium/QA/issues ). We're especially looking for JavaScript or golang programmers, but anyone with ideas and the desire to see them through is very welcome.
Alternatively, you can also help the site by hosting lobbies on it and inviting your friends!

Glad you guys are still working on this. I was watching a random youtube video and thought of you, hope you don't take offense.

I think you guys should think big and figure out what would make TF2Stadium way way better than TF2Center as opposed to marginally better.

Sorry about the delay!!
Please @ us on twitter (@tf2stadium), send me a message via steam/discord/tftv dm, or reach out to another person you know worked on stadium if this is the case again. We will look into whatever problem is causing issues asap. This problem was just the result of one of our systems crashing in a weird way, and was fixed by the tech folks very quickly after someone reached out to me directly. People still use the site to configure servers (or play with friends on one of our TragicServers), so we want to keep uptime as high as possible!
Thanks guys, and enjoy your lobbies :)

Hello, i have feedback for the developers.
As you might know, lots of tf2center lobbies go to absolute shit due to offclassing. Therefore tf2center provides a setting to restrict offclass that is missing from tf2stadium. It doesn't even work as players can still offclass : all that happens is that they get reported, but it only gives them a cooldown and does not make a sub slot appear on the front page so offclassers can't be kicked.
It would be nice to have an option to restrict offclasses and have it either alter the class limits on the server, or kick the actual offclassers. Besides if it could even restrict offclassing to specific classes chosen by the leader it'd be even greater.
cheers

minor complainst but you can't really tell which team is red and which is blu if the host renamed them, wich could matter in payload and A/D maps for choosing team
would be nice to see flags for each region too: EU, NA, SA
Also apparently you can join a lobby in which the server reservation has already ended but theres no system checking if the server is still available or if it changed rcon password like serveme.tf or UGC reservations do.

It's quite sad that the site is still up and pretty functional but nobody plays on it, wish people would give it a go again. If you compare it to TF2Center it seems better and more up-to-date in terms of UI and overall look, the only thing it doesn't have is the players.

Old poll from back when the site came out I think? Pretty unfortunate it never kicked off.

People who would rather use TF2Stadium over TF2Center probably would rather just play pugs, whether on pugchamp or inhouse. Given that people are already on TF2Center, the chance of it kicking off then would be abysmal.

The TF2Stadium.com site has been quietly chugging along, (mostly) functional for the past 6 years or so. We are expecting an influx of users in the next few days, and several of the original devs (and some new friends) are fixing a few things that have broken over time & getting any and all dependencies up to date.
Remember that TF2S is open source! If you want to help please let feel free to take a look under the hood.
In the meantime, if you're playing on a website that appears to be shutting down in a few days forever, consider putting "newlobbysite.com" in your username, so that people know where to go when that happens. do not spam :)

Would still be cool if people actually tried TF2Stadium over tf2c even though a new owner was found for tf2c. Given how much effort was put into it and how much more modern the design is, it would be a shame for people not to even try it
