I think extine used to do it. And it could nly be done in the post produced casts due to sv_pure 2.

Yea, think about how awesome the casts would be with jerseyd up teams. couldn't the viewer also have the skins in their TF folders when watching the STV, thus allowing live viewing/casting with the custom skins?

it was done for extv casts a long time ago. it was actually pretty cool i think but i think it's pretty hard to implement and as far as sponsors go there just arent many video game sponsors that are interested in tf2 when lol/dota/sc2 is more lucrative.

STVs don't enforce pure do they?

I thought the sv_pure settings only affected the server itself? So couldn't the casters, watching from stv, still see the uniforms?

I think it'd be pretty sweet to make that happen.

There's at least one Embercore team, there are 3 H2K teams (only one in ESEA this season), I'm sure there are other communities/companies sponsoring teams out there. Just because they aren't in invite doesn't mean they aren't sponsored.

The big casts that get the exposure tf2 needs are generally invite games. Its not that there aren't other sponsors, but they're the only sponsors that are going to get any coverage.

So. we're all in agreement. Let's see this happen please. Sponsors would probably be more excited to sponsor TF2 if they had constant advertising such as uniforms.

I always thought that map billboards should be skinable.. I've seen some servers with custom stuff in maps advertising their servers rules and things, so this should be possible??

I liked in the old Experiment video when the point changed to blue and had the experiment logo spinning,.. would be nice if that was a thing that could happen in game too with team logos.

It was so awesome when extine did this, but I know it requires a lot of work and most professional gaming organizations aren't too interested in TF2 right now (for organization team colors, but still any kind of color would be cool). If this could somehow work in stv casts, that would be awesome.

Yea we only have 4 sponsors. Why would we want to support sponsors to possibly get more sponsors, maybe build something good for tf2 like sponsor representation? your right dumb idea.

It's a cool idea, but IMO it should be kept to logos. Changing the actual colors just looks awkward from what I've seen.

I really like the billboard idea. I know that there are a few custom extv things that pop up in their casts (eXtine's head on walls 'n stuff), I feel like it wouldn't be super difficult to get sponsor's logos up around maps.

we would all like new sponsors, but i dont think jerseys gets us any closer to them without the jerseys being visible and offering some kind of ROI for the sponsor

Obviously not bring in EG, but helping our sponsors can keep them here and could possibly bring in more if they see other sponsors represented well in the actual games. Whats wrong with that? I just think writing off the idea is dumb cause there's no reason to not do it.

I retired from sponsoring after this last season. Though having cute little shits that say iT! on them may be enough to bring me back into the game.
