It's an automated system, so it's built to just work when you show up to play, but since people aren't showing up it's giving out a bunch of forfeits. We've had some trouble getting in touch with FACEIT admins today as well for some of the other issues.

I am considering deleting the tournament and rescheduling it. What do you guys think?

I cancelled it. I'd like to reschedule to tomorrow at the same time. If the timing was an issue please let me know. Today we got 11 teams, we need 16 teams.

I mean is it worth losing all the round one matches. Sure they might be less interesting than say, semi finals. but if we had everything planned for 4 rounds, I think we should try and reschedule. especially as new casters/production might be trying their hand as well as the teams.

A lot of the blame for this going poorly is on my shoulders too. If you're worried about the tournament being a shitfest tomorrow here's what I'm doing to make sure that doesn't happen.

• Worked out a system to get STV info for any match without requiring a FACEIT admin to be present.
  
• Will not be trying to run the stream while organizing the tournament. I'll have another producer for the TFTV1 tournament so I can focus all my attention on the tournament.
  
• I've added a FACEIT admin on skype, which is their preferred method of communication, so that we don't have delays while sending e-mails back and forth.
  
• I'll be helping the TFTV2 producer hours before the event is supposed to start to make sure he's aware of everything that needs to be done for the stream to run well

The rest is up to the teams. PLEASE make sure you have all 6 of your players ready to go to prevent forfeit losses. Also, could the team who had 6 players but still got forfeited try to get me all the details of what happened so I can make sure something like that doesn't happen again?

Again, apologies for this, it was a learning experience but I will make sure it is better tomorrow.

I have relaunched the cup for Saturday December 10th at 6pm EST. The same round schedule will be implemented.

Please remember that when the tournament starts to only check-in with the 6 people that are going to be present during your matches or else you risk being forfeited out.

Go easy on saam guys, I'll take at least half the blame for this one. Splitting your attention between setting up a stream and learning how to get a feel for camerawork, trying to wrangle a team to play in your stead, and helping a friend's landlady renovate her basement in the same 24hr period is NOT advisable: sometimes you just tune out for an hour to make a playlist X_x
