After it was removed from etf2l it has been improved and updated. Have played it in a few dmixs/ pugs and was wondering what you guys thought about it. Made a strawpoll to see what you would like to see revoved if it were to be added back to the map pool.

Nub_Danishsunshine was never great
10 times the map reckoner was.
Also much rather cast it than granary.

I like sunshine, but didn't play it a lot tbh. Afaik it was removed because of stalemates, which is typical for EU.
I'd personally see at least one new map each season, or at least one change in the pool. Sadly, ETF2L forum seems to be dead, so it's really hard for admins to get any feedback, really :/

idk Reckoner is great fun to play imho. It's beautiful, aesthetically too. Wouldn't like to see sunshine make a comeback tbh, tho the latest version is a big step up compared to what there was before.
I think both Reckoner and Sunshine are better than Badlands and Granary but people don't want Badlands removed because it's such a "signature" map...

No, it's because "people" think that badlands has features no custom map has :
-fast capping last point (ok valve change there was dumb)
-open ressuply on 2nd
-hard to reach capping zone on 2nd
-FEW FUCKING AMMO PACKS FORCING YOU TO CHECK YOUR AMMO
-properly doable forward hold on last

Actually, badlands is the best 5cp map ever made and I hope it stays in the pool forever. Not sure about granary, I personally like it.

sunshine was always more fun than reckoner in scrims, officials and even mixes. shame to see it go tbh
make obscure great again.
Also granary is the best map atm.

Sunshine has some very satisfying rocket jumps all the way through the map I love it
-granary
+sunshine
granary is just such a boring map to play on, it's so bland and half the time it's a stalemate
also, why is product still played? not that i want it out, but why is it still in the map pool?

It's not that I don't like snakewater, but it's the map that's the least fun to play imo. Reckoner is something new and people don't like it because of that. Most scrims/matches I've played on Granary were really close so very enjoyable to play. Even if it's a stalemate you can be creative to break that stalement.

Granary definitely has one of the least amount of creative options you can do in terms of breaking stalemates on pretty much all the points, with the 2nd stalemate (on point/lobby) having one of, if not the least, amount of options out of any point on any map.

I only hate badlands b/c of the splash ledges and the fact that it looks like a desert.
bring back cp ashville or coalplant
or even warmfront would be better than reckoner/granary

etf2l is doing a pre-season cup with warmfront so maybe it could make a comeback
reckoner is good tho :(

I don't see why they removed it in the first place. Maybe it's because I've always played NA, but still, Sunshine was a great map in my opinion. Better than reckoner. Now, reckoner is by no means a bad map at all, but I feel that it wasn't necessary to just simply remove sunshine. Perhaps the ETF2L could use a rotating map series each season, without permanently removing maps or having a community poll each season so that the players can have a say as to what maps should and shouldn't be played. These are only my opinions, but I really would hate to see sunshine die.

what corsa said. this is the main problem with bad maps in general.
Mid design can be kinda left up to interpretation because i think its good to have different ways to play certain mids. But like corsa said, maps like granary (which is the most blatant culprit of this) basically leave no options in terms of pushing, which leads to mega stalemates because the map then becomes a game of making less mistakes during pushes/holds rather than initiating good pushes or some kind of aggression. Most of the other maps in the rotation don't share this problem to the same extent, obviously there are some cases (sunshine last, for example) but none of the other maps really have huge flaws in comparison to granary in that respect.
