Watched Drive today and it was pretty intense definitely one of the best Crime/Mob films I've seen.
Like Crazy-one of the best movies I've seen
Theory of Everything is so good as well

Seven Psychopaths-mentioned earlier in the thread
In Bruges - Hitman fucks up his first job, has to fuck off to a tourist trap until everything blows over. Tale of redemption.
Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure - two teenagers go on a time travelling jourbey to get their history project done in time. Kind of goofy but the finished product is far greater than the sum of its parts.
Whiplash - Kid in a top jazz band in thr country, professor is incredibly abusive
I dont watch a lot of movies kately. Ill add more when i think of them.

If you're a visual moviegoer who doesn't care about plot like me, Nocturnal Animals will be a real joy to watch. At least that's what I'm getting from the reviews, I actually liked the plot too.
Law abiding citizen, Intouchables,Gone girl r pretty good i guess
If you're into sci-fi, Coherence is one of my favorite movies ever. Slow for the first 10-15 minutes but it gets very interesting very quickly
If you liked the crime stuff, check out Scorsese's work. Casino, Goodfellas and Taxi Driver are brilliant.
If you're in the mood for something more accessible and cool, check out literally anything by Tarantino.
Drama? Whiplash (favourite movie), Intouchables, American Psycho. All brilliant.
Humour's got some great choices like Bill & Ted as described earlier, but Life of Brian and Holy Grail (both Monty Python movies) are the funniest movies you will ever see and will give you quotables out the wazoo.
Oh, and Forrest Gump. That movie is a must watch for anyone.

Breaker Morant. It's the best film I've seen. It is fascinating, memorable, and stands up to subsequent viewings. It's closer to flawless than any other film I've seen.
