At a restaurant, definitely preference for french toast because you usually get breakfast meats with them and i like sweet/savory, followed by waffles (probably the most delicious by itself of the three). Pancakes are too dense, don't have a crispy exterior, and end up absorbing all the butter/syrup compared to letting you enjoy it.

No see, it depends on where you get each. If i had the choice to go to the best place for each of them, I would choose Waffle House and get waffles. However, most places have garbage waffles that taste like stale pieces of cardboard. If I were in a random place for breakfast, I would order the pancakes as those are the easiest to make well. French toast is the inferior option in both of those situations, but there are some specific places where french toast is better than the other options.

Restaurant that isn't Cracker Barrel: Pancakes because they rob you of a decent french toast quantity.
