why can only one character have fun movement
It's better than Overwatch. Too many particle effects and laggy servers aren't things I like though. I think it has potential.
If there's a classic mode where everyone has fun movement and duels are decent I'll buy it because I've always wanted to get ok at dueling instead of being awful.

nyx has pretty cool movement too (strafe jump/330 speed/walljump)
slash has crouchslide and some others have little things and most have strafe jump.
q3 didn't have airstrafing outside of cpma which is a user mod and quakelive didn't have it until pql which came much too late, 3 years into quakelive (and is a shitty attempt at cpm physics). q4 didn't have it. so its not like no airstrafe = not quake (probably some qw player would say this I guess)

I got in, it's been tons of fun so far. I also thought the sound seemed really bad from the trailers, but in game it actually sounded great- it was really immersive and I didn't struggle with gathering the information I was supposed to gain from the audio.

they'll give more codes out for future tests, this is just a weekend test atm.
i think the most i can say publicly for the little bit of it i've played is that it's good, it has the obvious potential of being really good and most of the things 'wrong' with it are just things that will obviously be fixed (or added since they're just missing due to the early beta status.)

I had set my render scale to 75% through the slider but in the config it was like 75.00394247 or something. Same with sensitivity it was .600000045738597.

I noticed that at 100% its a bit blurry, and when I get into fights with 4 characters infront of me it gets a bit laggy even though I have a gtx 1080... I also tried to play on low and its just a bit choppy sometimes
