Tf2 breaks on dx9

I have a really weird issue that whenever I switch my game onto dx9 the lighting breaks and weapon skin textures break.

what -dxlevel are you setting? -dxlevel 91 is the most recommended one for dx9 i think

can you post your cfg and all customizations you're using

i think someone did some fps bench marking and -dxlevel 98 is the most fps optimized one

Clearly not. DX 98 makes your game look really nice but eats up alot of ressources, so your fps will generally be significantly lower than for dx 95 and 90

looks like i'll be changing my -dxlevel, what do you recommend as the most fps-friendly one that's in dx9

Only customizations I use are ragdolls/gibs off, mat_phong 0, and mat_specular 0. Outside of that I just mostly have my game on low settings.
