As ESEA Invite Season 26 continues, teams shuffle their rosters to accommodate their schedules as players come and go. Faint Gaming is no stranger to the shuffle, and it was revealed that team leader and scout sandblast will be stepping down from the team, with Cat Noises scout bo4r filling in for his role.
sandblast debuted in Invite during ESEA Season 24 with mario party 4. The team would eventually be acquired by Faint Gaming to represent the organization the following season. Under the Faint Gaming sponsorship, the team finished in 4th Place. Faint Gaming cited personal reasons for sandblast’s departure.
bo4r also made his Invite debut in Season 24, and has previously played for LunatiK eSports, who finished 8th Place in Season 25. He was a starter for Cat Noises as their scout when Season 26 began.
Faint Gaming COO Kredible gave teamfortress.tv an official statement regarding the player exchange:
Go! Calm down everyone, Faint isn't dead. Of course we had our scares but we have been able to piece together a roster now. Regrettably, Sandblast will be stepping down as Bo4r fills his spot. So hopefully that means we get to see alot more sniper mids. Adapting, Improvising, Overcoming.
Faint Gaming social media manager THEBILLDOZER also posted on the teamfortress.tv forums regarding the swap:
Bo4r rose to a high level of play after showing an exceptional level of hitscan proficiency in both the highlander and 6v6 game modes. Faint Gaming is optimistic that his strong aim and game knowledge will help elevate our roster further this season.
Going forward, Faint Gaming will be composed of:
- Scout: yight
- Scout: bo4r
- Roamer: laz
- Pocket: tambo
- Demoman: Campy
- Medic: meyy
