For Faint Gaming, their second season in ESEA Invite has been seen varying levels of success, with the team starting the season off losing three straight matches to froyotech, SVIFT NA, and myanimelist.net. The team has since rebounded, coming back with four straight wins against The Sparkle Gang, black swan, Cat Noises, and most recently Velocity eSports.
However, those who watched our recent broadcast of Faint Gaming vs Velocity eSports would have likely noticed that pocket soldier tambo was absent, and former Gnomercy demoman dingo had taken his place. This roster swap was later confirmed by medic meyy, who even saw a perfect zero death game with their now new pocket soldier.
In an interview after the game, meyy gave a word on their roster change, saying:
We loved having tambo play on the team, he had a great attitude and he's always been very communicative when it came to our issues. But after a while tambo stopped being reliable; he started missing multiple days of scrims in a row without telling anyone, so eventually we just came to the decision that looking for a new pocket would be better. So we did, and we found dingo, who has all the experience and calls we could need as a pretty fresh team. So now we're just hoping to carry our momentum into the rest of the season :)
With a tough match scheduled tonight against Ascent, the currently third place ranked team in ESEA Invite will be looking to hand one of North America's top TF2 teams another upset, as seen at the beginning of the season by Velocity eSports.
Going forward, the roster of Faint Gaming will be composed of:
- Scout: yight
- Scout: bo4r
- Roamer: laz
- Pocket: dingo
- Demoman: Campy
- Medic: meyy
