Ok so i just bought a new hard drive (first time replacing my current hard drive from like 2012) and i was planning on transferring my Windows 10 through a flash drive, however the windows 10 I'm running isn't activated (Error code: 0x803F7001 popped up when I bought a new motherboard a few months ago). The only way i found to fix this is to buy a legit copy of windows since my product key doesn't work when I try to activate windows (im assuming it doesn't cause my brother transferred this same copy of windows to his hard drive like last year).
So my question is, is there any other way to solve this problem w/o having to buy windows? Will windows still have the same issue if I transfer it via flash drive to my new hard drive? (I cant change any windows settings and I cant get rid of this annoying ass watermark). Should I just ditch this version of windows 10 and get a completely new OS?

Call windows support and talk to them - they're pretty relaxed in my experience with them.
I got a win7 system builder's disk that had a screw up on the serial # print out, and so I was only able to read the tech I called like 3 numbers out of the total, and she went ahead and verified my windows anyways.
