Still no Silver Surfer. Maybe they figure its just too early in the Infinity story for him to appear. They really need to get some stronger heroes to fight Thanos because everyone in this cast, except Thor, is a joke compared to Thanos.
I really hope that a few movies down the line when the story starts to take off, the Silver Surfer is brought into the movies. He has been fighting Thanos for a long time and if one of the few heroes that can stand up to him 1v1 without the gauntlet.

He needs to have his helmet on, not sure why he has the helmet off. I can't even remember reading any of teh comics where he was walking around without the helmet.

I haven't been into Marvel shit for a while but this is sweet. I watched GOTG2 and I really liked it, and I enjoyed some of the lore from Civil War. Been meaning to watch new Thor and Black Panther too, really want to after seeing this trailer.

Marvel Studios doesn't have the character rights to the Silver Surfer as far as I'm aware. so it'll probably never happen until some deal is made with Fox like they did with Sony and Spider-Man.
May not be accurate, but just google imaged this up to show the general stuff: https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1xbMzsfVdbw/WKxLnfly6wI/AAAAAAABA1U/NJdNplw8fvIiqh5QLMXlcAvmW1LkukBSwCLcB/s1600/marvel-rights-v4.png

A deal with fox isnt unprecedented either. I recall reading they exchanged Negasonic teenage warhead for Ego the living planet prior to deadpool.

Unless Disney buys 20th Century Fox, which there are rumors about.

Will the Avengers learn to fight as a team and defeat Thanos? or will they learn to fight as a team and fail anyway?
Find out next time on Learning to Fight as a Team 3: Thanos and the Hand of Fate.

I think that Infinity War will be interesting just because I can't think of a movie that has this amount of buildup or star power behind it. Not saying the movie will be great but I can't think of any other film with like 9-10 stars who have all led their own movies and done well, not to mention the numerous supporting cast members who are also huge names.
Plus I can't think of a movie with such buildup from so many different story lines. The MCU has had 18 movies before IW which is nuts.
I just looked it up and theres 30 big name stars in this film. Gonna be unprecedented really.

Hype uncontained for the many characters appearing in this film. I'm wondering if they're planning to do some collab with the superheroes with tv shows or anything major.
(Also kinda sucks realizing these actors only have a few more movies to go. Personally, I think they all represent their characters pretty well and I'll hate to see them go)

The russo brothers directed civil war and winter soldier, some of the highest rated marvel movies. Honestly, they are marvels best directors and a lot of people like and respect the russo brothers. Trust me, this movie should be one of the greatest.

hype is real but at the same time marvel made just one good movie - the winter soldier, so im lowkey afraid that itll be dissappointing. the trailer looks good tho

This movie was FUCKING AMAZING!
Everything from start to finish I was blown away.
Easily the best movie made my Marvel studios, not talking about the ones made by Fox such as Logan.

Anyone think the characters that died will come back? Like it doesn't make much sense for them to introduce some cool stuff and have them just die.

The most probable ways i can think of is that the dead characters are within the soul stone, or they use Ant-Man and the Wasp to enter the quantum realm to go back in time and save them.
Also that Thanos vs Dr Strange fight was the best scene in any Marvel movie imo

Yes, a lot of the charcters that died are all the "new" age avengers and have movies planned, while all the ones that lived are the original avengers back from 2012.
Agree with loleryy about the Thanos vs Strange fight. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Was not expecting Strange to have such a huge impact in the movie either.

Definitely a must watch if you're at all into marvel movies. I'll try to keep the next paragraph spoiler free
I went into the movie thinking it's gonna be another meh marvel popcorn flick with a forgettable BBG that wants to rule
the universe. By the end of it, thanos became hands down one of my favorite villains of all time. It's amazing how well written he is as a character, especially considering that the main cast has had 3-4+ movies each and thanos only had this one
My only problem with the movie was marvel being marvel and ruining a few serious emotional scenes with dumb humor like
Show Content
gamorah making starlord promise to kill her with drax ruining the scene
so overall I'd give the movie a 9/10. Definitely the best marvel movie so far
Edit: A few more things that I disliked
Show Content
-Guy with vibranium body and an infinity stone in his skull and OP reality warping mutant girl losing a fight and getting rescued by a regular dude with iron wings and regular chick that's good at karate
-Crisp Rat punching thanos in the face on Titan instead of waiting for literally 5 seconds till his gauntlet is off and killing him with ease
-Dr strange giving up the time stone to save 1 life, thereby dooming 50% of the universe
-"Hey let's sacrifice countless wakanda soldiers to hold off thanos' army in order to try and save vision because every life is important. But of course, by every life we mean every main characters life"
-Peter Dinklage as the giant dwarf blacksmith honestly sucked. His voice sounded like a parody of himself
Don't get me wrong though, great movie despite all of this

The movie goes out of its way to explain why he did that tho so I dunno why you dislike it. Doctor Strange saw basically every possible future outcome thanks to the Time Stone combined with his magic, and knows the only possible outcome that actually wins the fight for them or has a chance. His actions after that moment have everything to do with the 1 outcome he saw, i.e. he knows the only way the Avengers eventually win is with Tony alive and with Thanos having the gems, as if they actually tried to keep the gems away from him, Thanos would just kill everyone on Earth until he got them all as he doesn't care about just Earth but balancing the entire universe - the only way they have a chance is to give him the stones and fight back later. Strange's dust lines tie into this being his reason for the decision as well.

The only reason thanos got the mind stone is because he used the time stone to reconstruct it. If strange just bailed with the sling ring, thanos would have failed. Strange could have ported to earth and had scarlet witch destroy the time stone, ending the whole saga.
Also, thanos' plan is dumb altogether, destroying 50% of all life indiscriminately at a random point in time is meaningless since populations grow so they would go back to their old numbers in a few generations. We can also see that the gauntlet gets pretty much destroyed in the process and he crippled the only blacksmith that could make it, so he can't exactly repeat the process every once in a while. Not to mention that destroying 50% of all life indiscriminately means you kill 1/2 of the population even on planets that have absolutely no issue with overpopulation and even planets with dwindling populations.
But ya now we're getting into extreme nitpick territory, at the end of the day it's just a movie
