b4nnySpyromancerHow much would it take to get weapons signed by the bp players I don't yet have?
We're pretty flexible. Though I only specified mentoring, we will try to satisfy all the people that donate, whether you want weapons signed, someone to MGE against, or just to chat with us, etc.
Hmm...pretty flexible? Satisfy all the people that donate?
Can't wait for you to satisfy me, b4nny. ^_^

plz respond to the streaming questions thx. will any of ur players be streaming ur upcoming scrims? it will be an even playing field since the other invite teams (minus FT) are streaming too so don't worry about stolen strats.
adding on to this, the idea that not streaming keeps strats a secret is dumb. this is invite. most players should be smart enough to figure out what the other team is doing and see how to counter it. i've never once watched a vod and came out with any knowledge that i didn't already know. we didn't stream last season on mix^ before lan, but then again we didn't ask for donations from the community. streaming scrims is one of the easiest ways to give back and is one of the things most people find enjoyment from. hope you consider this and gl w/ the donations.

harbleuthe truth
When I watch tf2 streams, I really want, above all else, to watch top teams scrimming other top teams. I like to see how they work as a team, how they perceive advantages, how they react and all that stuff and it really doesn't make sense to me why there isn't more people streaming it. There are a ton of people on the top 4 teams that have shown they are capable of streaming and yet I really only see tri doing it on a somewhat consistent basis. Watching a player play in a pub or surf is really only so interesting. We have four really smart and good teams going to lan, I doubt there are things that will melt the brains of the other invite teams when it comes to streaming a scrim with normal comms. And if there is, it isn't like a team wouldn't be able to figure it out through playing the team, asking another team that played them or watching an stv. If people want to discuss super secret strats that they will only use at lan, talk about it after the stream, mute the stream, turn off the stream and turn it back on, get a program to mute mumble on the stream and keep going.
Also harbleu, keep on streaming man even if it becomes what the cool invite kids do again. Watching you smack Alyx with a Chinese food box or drift off in your own world while scrimming is so much fun. <3

I have to agree, you see the largest stream numbers when the top teams are streaming their scrims.

Not everyone wants to have their personal team discussions streamed to the whole community, and turning it off and on all the time. We all went numerous seasons with no streams, so anything we do it get is a blessing, they should stream as much or as little as they feel comfortable.
Except Blank, get back to streaming so I can get out of Open.

I don't really agree with this because they're asking for money. So as a person who might potentially donate, am I going to go with chess club who streams their scrims or bp? Any $ they actually gets donated is a blessing for them from the community, considerably more of a blessing than any amount of streaming they could do.

I don't think anybody is really trying to hide strata, that would be redundant I think it's more likely one or more of the players would like to have a private mumble and aren't comfortable with knowing people can hear what they say...I know I wouldn't want to stream scrims and such, in my opinion scrims or really any team practice is a place for the tea. Spectators belong in the match audience.

That's true, but you also got to get the $$ you need to get to the lan. Some people in this community could outright pay a teams lan fees and not break a sweat about it. However the team needs to understand that they need to do whatever they can to earn that because the team isn't actually worth anything close to that kind of an investment.

And getting 1 on 1 coaching from the best tf2 player in the world isn't good enough for you? Some dota players are asking between 30-60 dollars an hour, b4nny said that if you donate they'll squeeze you in....stop being so entitled the world doesn't owe you anything.

My basis was in general, and not LAN funding. Furthermore, they are offering their services post lan in mentoring and such. Frankly, mentoring and knowing someone >>>>> streams imo.

Shrugger: Hates the abolitionist movement
Cyzer: Hates brown ppl
B4nny: Hates women
Lansky: Kills neighbor's pets on the mic
Shrugger: Memorized the entirety of triumph of the will
Tagg: Chill, but can't stream bp comms due to Twitch ToS, also possibly illiterate as he is unable to comm damage numbers
Donate to the team that needs the most help, because 3 team lans suck. Not knowing how much teams have/need this season is bad.
***Edit: Don't know how I forgot, but 5/6 of bp are also reptilian.

just a question, if i donate, would banny help me going through with demo review? if so how many demos can he go through and the quantity of demo revie? is that based on the amount u donate?

pine_beetleFrankly, mentoring and knowing someone >>>>> streams imo.
I will take streams over mentoring if the streams are somewhat consistent. Streams are something that the entire community can be benefit from and it is much more interesting to me personally to see how the teams interact and work together than have cyzer tell me how to slightly improve my movement.
I can go into your previous statement but there is no need to start an argument.
Yes, teams don't owe me a stream but an explanation on why certain teams don't allow certain players to stream would be nice. Again, the invite teams going to lan all have players that are more than willing to stream, the technology exists to mute mumble on live streams (which tagg has shown to use) and there is almost never something done in game that the comms are needed for invite level players to understand what happened (As hableu once insinuated on a stream, there is rarely something said in-game that will reveal anything and, as long as the team knows they are streaming, they know not to talk about in-depth strategy talk randomly during a match). So it would be really nice to know why a team like bp does not like their players streaming scrims and if they might stream if people donate for them to do so.

harbleuit will be an even playing field since the other invite teams (minus FT) are streaming too so don't worry about stolen strats.
btw, any sort of thought that we are intentionally not streaming scrims because we are "hiding strats" is retarded -- not saying you said or implied that, harb. we have never intentionally not streamed because we were afraid of having our strats being discovered or whatever reason people decide to fabricate. we even streamed our scrims right before our gpit matches, which is easily the most strat-sensitive map. so i'm not sure what this "FT doesn't stream" thing is. sean has streamed literally all season, zbryan streams every once in a while, and I bought hardware about mid-season to start streaming.
as of right now, a bunch of us are busy and we only scrim about once a week at most right now. even when this happens, at least seanbud or I stream every time.

A good piece of wisdom I heard is when lending anything to friends or family don't expect it back. Saves a lot of drama, and don't lend if you can't sustain the loss.

I would argue that sean has streamed more (not including anyone else on my team), but even if sean was second to tri, that instantly means we don't stream scrims compared to every other invite team? I seriously don't understand this gossip.
