Okay so, to me the way Pyro's air-blast is at the moment is broken. Having the ability to spam an attack that negates all projectiles is out right ridiculous. I think it would be beneficial if air blast was given a cool-down. My reasoning for this is because it is too easy to just spam M2 to not only negate any/all projectiles but also have them be redirected and do double the damage, for something so utterly easy. Giving Pyro's air-blast a larger cool down (similar to the dragon's fury) would fix this in the sense that it would give Pyro's ability some strategic value. I want to hear what yall have to say though because i could be wrong and i just wanted to discuss this.
Redirected projectiles dont do double damage, they do +35% , albeit the fact that they ignore fall off does indeed make them deal double damage or more in long distance compared to what they would normally deal.
I'd just remove the minicrit thing, negating and returning damage is already good enough.

figsyairblast does have a cooldown tho
of fuck me, sorry i mean a cool down like how the dragons fury is.
EDIT: i fixed my post

i would like to balance pyro by removing the flamethrower and giving him a lightning gun
I think the minicrits are a bit of a nerf to Pyro, since they deal minicrit damage to her as well. It would buff blast jumping slightly with reflected projectiles if minicrits were removed. In my opinion, I think that sort of behavior should be encouraged and would make Pyro a lot more interesting.
just remove the stupid mini-crit bonus and give Pyro +25HP instead, like when he extinguishes a teammate
i would be perfectly fine with current airblast if it at least reflected projectiles that the pyro is actually aiming at (like crosshair on projectile) rather than every projectile in their general direction
alternatively, dont let the airblast cooldown be the exact same speed as the time between rocket/pipe/sticky shots so that a single pyro holding m2 cant just barrel stuff all spam classes

You could just bait the airblast, if a pyro reflects every projectile I'm pretty sure the shooter is to blame

if a sniper hits every headshot im pretty sure the people being headshot are to blame
The airblast cone should be smaller. It's pretty annoying when rockets that weren't even aimed at the pyro and nowhere near him get reflected.
Genuinely curious as to why you feel as though it's so necessary to nerf this facet of pyro.
I understand the people who complained about the jungle inferno flame damage (it was absurd) but since the nerf pyro has been reverted back to its usual, largely useless state. Nerfing airblast would just make what's already a garbage class even worse. That fact of the matter is that there's nothing OP about it and as a result pyro doesn't need to be "balanced". The class is already abject garbage. You just find airblast annoying.

When I get pushed off the map on upward while literally being ~50 feet away from the cliff.. it's still broken.
As long as it is only annoying and not broken op it's fine with me.
Did you just get owned by a pyro main in pubs?
Or by Olgha in 6s?
See, you can only counter the first one.

actually u cant counter a pyro in pubs if they know how to right click and your not using scissors pyro's counter classes

Okay I'm taking this dumb bait.
The best pyros in EU for reflects etc don't take stupid fights with classes demo/soldier unless they're forced to.
The way to get consistent prediction reflects is to force an enemy to feel like he has a choice of shooting or dying, if you are getting forced into that position, your position is off. If you aren't forced into that position, and you die to prediction reflects, you probably just need to learn to pace your shots and use splash to your advantage. All pyro really does is punish you for making mistakes in a frustrating way that doesn't feel like you can DM out of it. You don't see permapyro actually used by good players because they consistently punish better with stronger classes.
Minicrit reflects are dumb tbf.
