I've been using the Original recently and something i noticed is that my DM Was a bit better (I'm still shit but not as shit as before),but something that really bothers me about the Original is that i can't RJ as good with it than with the Stock RL.
Any tips on RJing with the Orignal?

turn further than you would with stock

I think you have to shoot at more of an angle, in addition to rotating further. because like the stock comes out of the right so looking straight-ish down makes it so it hits your side, but with the original you have to like look much more to your side to get the same effect (I think, lol.)
Realistically, tips probably won't be much help. Just practice jumping with it for a few days :)

Are there some jump maps you feel comfortable completing, and have for a while (with stock RL)?
If so, try going through those. Try completing each jump a few times each with stock and with original, to understand the differences between jumping with them.
#4 and #5 are pretty much what you need to know. As an example, if you're doing a wall jump where you're moving forward along a wall, no matter what rocket launcher you're using, you generally need the rocket to explode slightly behind and below you. (Assuming you're using right-handed viewmodels) Along a wall to your right, you will have to rotate more using original than stock, in order to achieve that. Along the left, you will have to rotate less with original than with stock to achieve that explosion placement.
Just practice, play jump maps with the original, you'll get the hang of it. It will eventually become second nature just like jumping with the stock RL.

I went through the same process for Original, and really it's just getting a feel for where the rockets come from (which is the middle).
Jump maps helped me improve my Original jumps, but it's essentially turn more when shooting from the right

stare at the viewmodel if you have viewmodels turned on, or stare at your crosshair while you’re jumping. Sounds retarded but it works for me (shoutout to rolling for teaching me this)

Starkieyou cant rocket jump as far with the original
You can actually jump further with the original, as it shoots right beneath you, ctaps with it are a pleasure to do.
Someone from the jump community told me that if you are playing jump maps with the Original you are either a complete noob or insanely good

well at least ctaps for height are easier and IIRC highest possible ctap can only be achieved with the original

you can't ctap as far with the original
you can max-height ctap (691 units) with both the stock and original but its harder with stock as you need a precise strafe

you should be able to ctap as far if you turn a full 180 and press s when you jump with the original instead of whatever people normally do with the stock, right? (I never really started doing that so I don't actually know for sure.) I agree that how I normally jump with the original I can't get as far as far as when I ctap with the stock, even though I used the original much more often when I played. But I always assumed it was just because of this:

no that doesnt take you as far as a normal jump

shit like jumping from badlands patio to the top of the grate on spire is 100x easier with the stock
but for 99% of ingame jumps with some practice you should be fine with the original. just play jump maps

I guess I worded it wrong, you can jump further easier with the original than the stock, you can reach the same height with the stock if you hold D and then ctap, so the rocket can end up beneath you as well, whilst this condition does not apply on the original.

I think it's because to jump far with stock you just press the a key and you don't look directly behind but with original* you either have to let go of the a key to look directly behind which reduces your speed at the last moment or you press s which also reduces your speed. Maybe.

I guess with ori, if you wanted the max distance ctap, you would have to go backward, but since going backward makes you go slightly slower, you just dont go as far as with rl
