If they can prove someone intentionally ddos'ed them during a match...the match needs to be replayed or if the opposing team was in on it, disqualify their asses immediately. Not to mention, esea should permanently ban whoever was in on this. That's just fucking pathetic that someone would actually still do something like this.

If anyone has a suspicion that they are being DoS'd, open up command prompt and type in netstat -an. It basically shows all connection's to your IP.

TF.TV: We have several teams with circumstantial evidence that Toon Gang is DDoS'ing people to win games. Numerous people have confirmed that their internet went crazy while playing Toon Gang yet was completely fine before and after. Toon Gang, being the white ESEA knights they are, also decided to suddenly start enforcing the "5 minute pause" policy while said victims were struggling to figure out why their modem turned into a potato; using the same excuse that "people had to go to bed".

In no way am I defending anyone here, but a lot of people use openvpn for their VPN services. Again, I am not saying that he isn't using a vpn for the attacks, I just want to make sure people don't go out on a witchhunt for anyone that uses VPN's

OpenVPN isn't that incriminating honestly, but i know for a fact that bape knows how to ddos because he's asked me if he could test it on me on numerous occations. i was this team's backup during the season and i know that they didn't ddos anybody during our matches but then again i only played 2 of them with this team, it's a very real possibility that bape has stooped this low. Part of me thinks bape didn't do this because he's actually a cool dude and spends a lot of time trying to get better for someone who would DDoS other people.

Another part reminds me that this isn't the first time we've won thanks to another player having connection issues.

Either way, bape and mangoes are total buttheads about following ESEA rules to the T, ie. our fantastic .reportffw record and pause limit enforcement.

synchro, you seem like a pretty level headed dude. it sucks that this happened and that the circumstances seem so incriminating. the reputations of the players on your team lead a lot of people to believe they are capable of being gigantic shitlords, and that sucks for you. if you guys do take this roster further into IM, i would hope that something would change instead of this happening every time you win a game.

I use a VPN to mitigate routing issues. Saying a VPN is incriminating is wrong.

If you are experiencing internet problems on match nights I have the following suggestions:

Petition your ISP for an IP change.

After doing the above, try to mask your ip in public places. Just joining a TF2 server exposes your IP address to the people who run the server. On GameSurge, this means authenticating with authserv and setting your user mode to +x. You might also want to learn how to install and use a VPN for peace of mind. I have done this and only experienced an extra 10ms of latency as a result.

It is extremely hard to figure out where a DDoS attack originates from. Most attackers aren't dumb enough to do it with an IP that exposes them in any way. You might even tell your ISP that you suspect someone is DDoSing you and they can investigate it for you.

This is what bape used it for several times, his ping would drop a lot when he switched over. You don't really need a VPN to DDoS people, not sure where that idea came from.

I have a question. In no way am I defending toon gang or any of its members. Is it possible that "bullet" or one of these other known ddosers is targeting players on the enemy against toon gang without them even knowing. The point would be so that a shitstorm like this would eventually evolve from it. If he wanted to troll the shit out of them or make a shitstorm for fun, simply ddos the enemy team of a team with people known to associate with ddos and shit(bape). It would also explain mangoes idiotic defenses(or maybe hes just an idiot, I dont know him.) Is this a possibility?

Honestly I would agree with you if it wasn't for mango's really dumb 'trying to be coy and smug while mispelling the entire dictionary while I am at it' defense and bape's claim that he doesn't know how to ddos contradiction with like a dozen people who says he can. Everyone just needs to revert back to the original post (if infact this log is true and this TWSS dude isn't lieing)

1) Admitted they knew of the DDoS attack.

2) Admitted they knew who did it.

3) They made no attempts to tell him to stop DDoSing.

4) Motive for the attack is whoever did it "hates brands"/wants brands team to loose.

5) Multiple people have come foward with internet issues when playing this team.

I mean cammon, this kid is basically saying "we are guilty" who gives a shit if it was bape or bullet. I think this log is enough evidence.

Hes basically saying we know who was responsible and we made no attempt to stop it from happening, that's just as incriminating. They could have easily been good sports and informed an ESEA admin or told the other team that they knew what was happening, however they made no attempts to do that. In fact they upheld the ESEA pause rules and limits to the full degree, while this was happening.

He even goes as far as to say "its only logical" that the best player on the opposing team gets DDoSed and not brands himself, he is basically justifying the DDoS attack lol. Which brings into question if it really was bullet doing the ddosing. Logically bullet would DDoS brands not "the best player on their team" if he has beef with him.

I watch to much of the first 48 on A&E.
