Cornpop's TwitLongerAfter more than 3 years of casting everything from UGC Iron, to Rewind 2 Grand Finals, I have decided to leave the world of competitive TF2. Unfortunately there is no juicy drama reason why I'm leaving. I still am friends with and respect everyone at tftv and I still think this is the best community ever, I'm just no longer able to commit the time that TF2 deserves. Going forward my focus will shift onto keeping up with school/life, and pushing myself farther in casting for other esports.
Thanks to the whole community for what you’ve done for me, I’ll never forget it <3
Cornpop's casting ends so does my life FeelsBadMan :gun:

during s22, i got a random add from someone named cornpop16 who added me saying that he had casted a match (by himself, freecam the entire time) with my team in it and just wanted to let us know he had casted it and asked us for feedback. he had a ton of casts just like this from random regular season open matches that didnt matter at all. he was putting in a lot of time and it showed. his casting was sick then and is still sick now. good luck on all of your future endeavors!!

honestly one of my favorite things about the comp tf2 community is how cornpop went from casting random open games on his youtube with 60 views to casting on the main stage of rewind

why dont you just come back after your done doing whatever you want to, instead of being dramatic. tf2 is going to be around for awhile I think. I just dont understand why people gotta leave forever, but this is me being selfish again. later bro, and good luck.

He literally says in his tweet he's not leaving because of anything dramatic, he just wants to focus on school and other esports. If you watch his personal stream he's been doing a lot of casting stuff related to ESL's R6 Siege and iirc he was in talks of doing stuff with northern arena.

Good luck with everything in the future Cornpop!
It's nice that his last cast got to be invite grand finals, at least :)

Not just casting, he was doing an absolute ton of work behind the scenes organizing casts and more. Huge loss for the tf2 community. Gl cornpop you deserve the best

he wasn't implying that cornpop left because of drama, he was saying that the act of announcing quitting tf2 on twitter is being too dramatic. can you guys not read

nah, because cornpop was a major community member that contributed a lot to NA casting and comp as a whole, a twitter post to explain why he's stopping is far from dramatic

Actually, I will be taking on the role of NA Coverage lead, cornpop reached out to me and has been showing me the ropes and i'm looking forward to taking on more responsibility and giving more back to the game and community.
That being said hate it being under these circumstances, I love Jesse to death and have been watching since his open youtube days :(

Actually tried to be as un-dramatic as possible by keeping it short and only posting this personal update on my own twitter, instead of making a thread or announcing on stream. Oh well though, can't please everyone.
I appreciate all the support I've gotten here, on twitter and on steam. I wouldn't be leaving if I didn't have full confidence that NA casts will continue to be great for many seasons to come, and I'm super excited to see what new awesome people this community will pump out.
Later <3
