froyotech ascends with aim, Nursey

Fresh off a victory at Insomnia63, the newly-crowned world champions were met with two major exits upon returning from across the pond.

Veteran Medic shade and fan-favorite yomps have departed the team, with the remaining froyotech players opting to fill the void with refugee Ascent players aim and Nursey on Pocket Soldier and Medic respectively.

Nursey returns to the green and black after winning both the Rewind Invitational 2017 and ESEA Season 24 with the team, while aim joins as a newcomer to the froyotech lineup. The pair, alongside arekk and habib, are best known for their brief time under the luca goers moniker in Season 21. luca goers were immediately sponsored by EVL Gaming and ultimately finished the season in fourth place.

We caught up with Nursey, who briefly exclaimed their enthusiasm for their newfound team.

arekk, on the other hand, was more verbose in their thoughts on their new — but also old — teammates.

I’m looking really forward to playing this season and I’m glad we picked up aim and Nursey. I’ve played with aim and Nursey for numerous seasons, so chemistry won’t be an issue. Although we lost yomps and shade, who were the best at their class, I have complete faith that aim and Nursey will fit in with the rest of our team. We’re all super motivated, especially with all the new teams forming.

froyotech’s frosty new roster is now:

Scout: arekk
Scout: b4nny
Roamer: blaze
Pocket: aim
Demoman: habib
Medic: Nursey

As froyotech’s new roster lucratively goes forward, the question remains of what will become of yomps and shade, who will now both walk in the shadow of froyotech going forward.

I figured this would dishearten a lot of people but with the current rosters lined up in ESEA this really shouldn't be an easy win (which is funny to say because the last season I played with froyo we still barely won). There's also stuff going on the personal side for me which is gonna make me throw away my ~gamer integrity~ but I can't really talk about that.
