Froyotech, last seasons ESEA-I champions, and Cat Noises, last seasons RGL-I champions, will meet this Wednesdays on the battlefield of Upward. This will be the first time that a standard payload map was play in a sixes league in recent memory. How will work? What classes will we see?
Talking to the leader of Cat Noises, he's mentioned that he has thought out strategies for the match and is excited to unveil them against a top tier opponent. Though he would provide no more details. In Prolander, Cat Noises ran a unique strategy on Upward in the Grand Finals. Where they would not run a scout on defense, but opting to run all flex classes: Pyro, Engineer and Heavy.
Froyotech has recently streamed some of their scrims in No Restriction Sixes on Upward. They had some unique strategies of their own: running double engineer with a pyro on defense, to running five demomen and medic on offense. What will they play on Wednesday night?

Yes, all RGL servers automatically upload the STV's both to demos.tf and sizzlingstats.
If you to the league table click on the team you're interested in. Click on a player and then click on a link to one of the pages above. Then all you have to do is find it.

i believe 5 demos is as much a "strategy" as yomps going rocket jumper at lan, as far as planning things goes.

You're point of that this may be your only chance to beat b4nny is mute. Beating Froyo in RGL does not equate to beating froyo in ESEA.

Two medics was a solid idea on Upward but don't think it would follow up well on a 5cp map (being able to constantly aggress and defend on a stopwatch based gamemode is very rewarding for that run up). Even then, there's a lot more we could've done that isn't just another medic (i.e. I think having a pyro on defense on Upward is kind of a necessity lol).
I agree that this game mode has been extremely fun so far. But I also pub a lot so all the constant stuff doesn't bother me much.

true, but if this league goes well, opens up huge potential for new 6s sized PL and possibly attack defense maps, could be really cool seeing as most of the PL maps were intended for 12v12

It's weird how uncreative froyo was. I guess they really are used to sticking with one class for an entire game.
Defending last with several demos is trivially what they should do, outspam the pyro/short circuit engie whatever. When the cart is barely capped in the first round 2nd point, going spy and short circuit-ing away the stickies is something they could have done to cap the point quickly.
Uncle Dane should not be full time engie, on defense the tele is useful, but the sentry is nothing against a coordinated team. Running 2 meds is very important, and other than nursey all the other players should play med when needed. In general respawn time should be spent not only on spectating other players but also on figuring out the most suitable class to play next.
