Thread title.
I honestly don't get it.
Do people actually care if others see them loose in MGE or something?
I don't really care but i don't understand it.
Someone fill me in.

they wanna steal elo from high elo players without risk of losing their own afaik
certain people get mad when they lose to alts and thats kind of its own reward
also if u have lots of elo certain people will play pretty gay in an attempt to claim it so u alt to not have high elo

Bro honestly I think people get way madder about this than they really need to. Yeah there's probably some guys trying to steal elo because they're "pussies" or whatever but I think high level players do it for anonymity and because it's fun. If you ever talk about elo, you probably are the one caring.
if you care/brag about elo you prolly have nothing else in life to be proud of
There's these weird consistencies to the stories of MGE players who've been involved in near death experiences (car accidents etc). While comatose these people have had unusually similar visions. All of them involve the experience of standing on a flat grey plane that extends as far as the eye can see. The one having the vision isn't able to travel where they want, they're restricted by a high metal fence that extends around them in a circle. Try as they might, they can't get over or around the fence.
Then something strange happens. A man appears on the other side of the circle. He doesn't appear any different to them, but somehow everyone who has had this vision is terrified by him. Above his head are a bunch of Cyrillic characters and the number '2900'. The significance of these two things is not yet known. Shortly after this man appears, the dreamer awakes from their comatose state, often in great distress.

jetzzzzzalso if u have lots of elo certain people will play pretty gay in an attempt to claim it so u alt to not have high elo
no idea tbh this game is 400 years old and still runs like a roadkill turkey, its just so you can show up like a newb and impress people by having slightly above average DM for a little while until they all realize youre just another alt.
If they didn't have elo on the [As] server no one would play MGE, prove me wrong.
i played the no elo AS server intending to play nutters and all i got was pubbers and had to actially play them to know because rhere was no elo this is primarily what i use it for. going from years of elo servers to that was kinda disorienting...
its only worth it to play those kinds of ppl for the first game to warm up otherwise ots tr walkway rly shouldnt be able to kill without touching my keyboard its rly only worth playing 2k elo and over (soldiers) and 1900 and ovee scouts
the primary reason as to why its not fun to play low elos isnt even that they keep missinf they just keep runninf away like oll be 165 hp and theyll be 4 hiding behind the gran last tyres for 5mins straight its soul sucking

unironically elo is kinda useful in determining who i should actually add up to
like i dont really get anything out of 20-0'ing 1600 elo players so i mostly just add up to people who have like 1900 or more because i know they have functioning arms and are worth playing against.
if you play specifically to increase ur elo or w/e ur actually a troglodyte tho
