i was not aware people still played this game. does anyone know what the format will be? will it be classic tfc comp? ctf 9v9?

4v4 offense vs defense. This is not Team Fortress Classic, this is a mod for the source engine that is quite a bit alike to Team Fortress Classic.

yeah i know what fortress forever is, i just wanted to know if the format was going to be the same as when TFC was still being played competitively. thanks though :)

I just installed this mod and I'm really impressed. Seems to be basically TFC with better graphics and some balance revisions. I'm interested in how this might develop competitively, so I'm on board.

Also regardless of how it's recieved competitively, it has a training mode that teaches all sorts of old movement techniques, so if you want to get someone into an old FPS, you might tell them to download FF and try out the training mode. It's really got just about everything.

league play was eventually lowered to 8v8 for tfc, and IF they were going to use the TFC format, that's what it would be. however considering the player base for the game, it would be more likely that they made it something lower

I am pretty freaking awful(played a ton of quake but the grenade jumping aspect is vastly different) but I'll jump in if anyone needs another person.

I was the project lead on this way back when it originally released, but got totally burnt out from pushing it out the door. I'm continually amazed to see it's still hanging around, the new guys have continued to work at it. I wish our modeller/animator didn't disappear off the face of the earth (taking the source files with him) back then because they are still screwed up and detract a bit from some of the cool things that were done.
