Quake con 2018 first major lan I’ve competed in and I achieved my goal of placing relatively high. Never have felt better in gaming.

I've been to all three of the RGB's. It's a LAN party and the tournament quality isn't half bad. Its just nice to see everyone and hang out.

i61 for being the first time I met the best friends I've ever had

copenhagen games 2019 was amazingly convenient. The entire event is so enjoyable with the entire TF2 crowd sitting together (not an option at insomnia due to BYOC being a free-for-all and seperated from the viewing area)

Swelan was also great, but mostly for the social aspect. We had like 40 TF2 people sitting in a tiny kitchen at the hostel all night having fun. Only real issues were getting noise complaints (understandably) and at some point a group of people stole food from the regular residents (The owner of the hostel was really upset at some people and had to lock the kitchen for the final night)

Blast Pro Series Miami is probably the best LAN i've been to in terms of fan experience/production quality, Refrsh are honestly one of the best TOs in CSGO rn (it also helps that their staff/player afterparties fuck).
RGB3 was my favorite LAN to attend and play at, have a lot of great memories and was amazing to meet teammates in person for the first time, and reconnect with people from RGB2. Was really cool getting to see LAN from the staff perspective, and a good experience for me to try to run a broadcast with any kind of production quality.

Swelan was awesome as everyone has said because it was only tf2 and it was very social and cozy feeling, totally different than the experience at insomnia for example where there's a handfull of tf2 people and a sea random people playing other games (though of course being in the crowd for the grand finals at i63 was insane).

I really enjoyed rewind 2 as well playing up on the stage and the fact that it was so tf2 focused. Then they screened the ready up documentary and it really felt like the whole community was united there as a big family. Was also really cool getting to see muma and bren/sideshow and hanging at the after party at sami's. Wish I had gotten to socialize more at wade's after party on the final day tho, unfortunately I was zooted out of my fuckin mind cause sideways whoopi goldberg decided to give me way too strong an edible and I was basically just an incapacitated couch potato sitting there lmfao (then I had to go home early cause I was all paranoid and wasnt feeling well, pretty lame way to end a lan)

Might possibly be RGB4 depending on how it meshes with TooManyGames. Hopeful for great success.
GXL 2015, RGB1 and RGB3 hold special places in my heart. If you met me at one of those events, you have a special place in my heart.

That first big GXL where we had Corsair sponsorship and shit was pretty hype (2014 I guess?). For most of us NA guys, minus the Invite players who used to go to LAN in Texas, this was the first big tournament event with a big sponsored cast, etc. (ESEA LAN didn't even have in-person casting teams as most will recall, it was cast online) It was a really exciting time in the game, and there was this big feeling that big shit was just around the corner. We were really starting to feel like an eSport.

Most of the pillars of the community from that time attended and were part of it, a couple big pro CS teams were also there competing, which many were into, and again, other than ESEA LAN/iSeries, it was basically the biggest thing we had up to that point. For many it was our first time there in PA and yeah, honestly glory days. Kudos to Fragile and everyone else who helped it happen.

cpg19 for the social side for sure

non-tf2 answer: ESL One Cologne 2016 was the first ever lan I attended as a spectator and was definitely an amazing experience. Filled up a massive arena and people were chanting/cheering constantly during the latter stages of the tournament. Social side of it was pretty fun too since it was my first time ever in Germany, so I got some experience speaking German in the real-world for once
