daybraeki have just discovered that there are nukes on 25 ks.
THIS GAME IS FUCKING SICK
minicircleA few more things to note:
- If you get a 25 kill streak, you gain access to a nuke (triggered by pressing "1" on your keyboard). This triggers a 10-second timer, then eliminates all enemies who are alive.
But yes, this game is very sick. The tf.tv clan is growing quite a bit too; we might make it on the leaderboards within the month.

Seinfeldat higher levels of play, good players make good use out of higher HP characters like LMG, which usually makes playing sniper better as they can 1 shot headshot them where detective cannot. also since the game is points based and not kills based, getting accolades with the sniper like midair and quickscope (easy to do consistently every kill) effectively double the value of every kill
i was going to mention some stuff like this and forgot about it. good points. LMG is very underrated, the high HP and ammo count are so good in tough situations or if youre the only decent player on your team and youre constantly outnumbered.
marksman is also a good example of stacking accolades a la midair headshots. pretty easy to pull off and i would easily have double the next persons score just because i was abusing movement.
i noticed you can pretty much bhop in this game and its very easy to do. you want to be holding W though, contrary to Source engine where you are not supposed to press W. you still do everything else the same, such as A/D and mouse turns. its not super noticeable, and the turning is clunky and you get stuck on corners pretty easily, but on long straight aways, open areas, or downhill slopes, its definitely an advantage.
you can also do a slide, im pretty sure. if you were to gain some momentum "bhopping" and then land in a crouch, it does seem to carry over momentum and give you a small slide. i havent thought of it being very useful so far until i figure out more about it.
you seem to regen hp sooner/quicker while crouched?
still new at this

If you slide everytime you land while bhopping you get a nice speed boost, so you go much faster. Sliding also lets you change directions a lot faster without losing speed, unlike strafing.

You actually shouldn't be pressing A or D while bhopping. All you need to do is hold W and figure out the rhythm to slide hopping. Once you can get crazy speed going in a straight line with W + slide hopping, you start incorporating mouse movement. There's a certain timing window to where you move your mouse in the direction you want to go. Once you figure out the timing, you can keep all of your momentum and kind of drift around corners.
W + A/D is useful for starting out your jumps though. W + A/D is faster then just holding W, so use that speed for your first jump, then just hold W and use your mouse to direct your movement.
It's been a long time since I've played a game with genuinely unique movement and holy fuck is it fun when you really get the hang of it.

Also note that the amount of control you have on your slides is tied to framerate, ie: the higher your fps the easier it'll be to turn around while sliding. I really recommend people install the client and unlock their framerate if they can (you can't with some graphics card), it feels really nice to play. Plus you can do stuff like this

thank you, i basically figured this out as i played a lot more last night. you are correct, A/D to start out your jumps with a circle strafe or two, and then yes once you get your speed up you are pretty much moving in a straight line and hardly require A/D inputs.
discovered the slide hopping mechanic as well thanks to the discord.

Unfortunately you can't on AMD processors (see source). I've heard it still works on some CPUs though, so anyone reading this with an AMD CPU might want to give it a try still.

https://discord.gg/Ysc99S2
The FFA tournament has been moved to Saturday, May 25th at 7:30 PM EST to accommodate more schedules. To access the tournament registration form and read more information, visit the tf.tv Krunker Discord server. Players from all regions are welcome to participate, but NA players will be given priority.
Prizes for this first tournament are rather minimal; first place gets a choice of two games from my Steam key list, while second place gets to choose one game. The main purpose of the tournament is to give people an opportunity to play the game in a semi-competitive setting.
If you haven't tried out the game yet and are in the mood to farm some kids for $0, check it out at https://krunker.io/.
Edit: Tournament rules and format can be found at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QuSi_ISF9cT8xWG5TluLPjiuSjVFpKuXUtNnkz1AsW8/edit?usp=sharing. The whole thing should wrap up before 8:30 PM EST on Saturday.

2nd place: edin with 169 total kills
3rd place: dbk with 135 total kills
highest-kill game: ult with 43 kills in match 1 (Subzero)
Screenshots of the scoreboards will be posted if you would like to verify the calculations. Congratulations to the winners; I'll contact ult and edin through DMs about the game key prizes. If you have feedback to share about the tournament (what you liked, what you didn't like, etc.), please feel free to post in #feedback. We may or may not host future tourneys based on the feedback.
