I have a Samsung 2233rz which I really like. My friend has one as well, but his sponsors recently sent his team 120hz benq's. he says it's nice but he actually likes the Samsung more.
I've heard lots of great things about the benq's. are they actually worth the price, especially if u already have a 120hz monitor?

If you are going to buy a 120hz go for the benq, but if you have one I don't know if it would be worth it unless you have input lag or something similar

The BenQ's got nothing on the VG248QE. It's cheaper too.

If it's a newer BenQ with 3D Vision 2 and Lightboost then it might be worth it depending on how much money you have or are making.

tviq swears by the Samsung and I was planning on buying it myself. it reportedly has the lowest input lag.
benq I hear is a solid monitor. can't go wrong there but if you're on the cheap there's probably better options
[edit] sorry we were talking about different samsung models. here's tviq's

All I can say is that if you get a BenQ, you know what you are getting is a quality product. I love my BenQ monitor and I would buy it again. The problem I had with older 120hz monitors that are discontinued or sold out is that they are probably re-manufactured or hope the previous owner is not selling you a lemon.
I got the LG W2363 first before my BenQ and it came in already broken with a line of dead pixels. It was still such a great monitor at such a good price I still almost kept it. It sucked because I went onto at least 12 different sites (ebay, amazon, newegg, etc) and the only one that had it was ebay and the user that sold them sold 10 of them in like 5 days for only 289.99.
The other Asus monitors are pretty good as well. I would say either get a BenQ or an Asus. Can't go wrong there with those two choices.

right now the asus 24" 144hz monitor (VG248QE) is 100 bucks less than the BenQ for basically the same features (~$289 vs $389). Only gripes I've heard is some people have bad colors out of the box but there's some custom profiles that fix it. Both can do lightboost. The Asus seems like a no brainer deal right now

Don't know/care if tviq uses the 700d but I've used it for quite a while now and haven't had any real issue. It seems to have a penchant for burnt pixels, but other than that I've never had any issue with input lag or inconsistency or anything. Been rock solid on every front and the colors are excellent.
