dare i say the pedophilia was worse
dare i say the pedophilia was worse
this video made me sad, interesting to hear tagg explain what happened in his tf2 experience
THEBILLDOZERdare i say the pedophilia was worse
Agreed. Although I'll be honest I wasn't really considering child grooming/paedophilia as a "tf2 moment".

kinda interesting story, listened to the whole thing
no he quit because he didnt get a community weapon
tldr
1. The changes in the meta made the way he likes to play roamer less viable, and he had a contrast between having fun and winning so he didn't enjoy competing anymore
2. The general comp tf2 community had lots of people who were toxic, racist, circlejerky, etc
3. He started working with TFTV content creation and production but it was lots of hard work, involved him using his own money for some costs, + dashner
4. He became a youtuber / streamer but people harassing and doxxing him ruined that too
5. In general, the updates that tf2's gotten have made the game less fun. 6s meta is the worst it's ever been now, scout is too strong. In pubs weapons he liked using got nerfed

Great video, Tagg's honesty about his struggles are really important to listen to for people grinding in the TF2 community. Whether it's trying to get to Invite or being involved on the production side we can't forget about being nice to each other and taking care of ourselves.

It's nice to be important, but it's important to be nice.

The problem is that the people that should be absorbing the content of this video will minimize it and continue to be insufferable morons. Everyone that has done anything major for this community has received infinitly more harassment than anything positive. The game is great but everything attached to it is frustrating and depressing.

Pretty much expected that the general consensus of this video would be "no one cares"
To see that there are a few people in the thread actually discussing this is pretty surprising

replace tf2 with any other game and you will run into the same kinds of challenges. idiots are not specific to the tf2 playerbase.

i dont understand why community members focus more on how to dismiss these problems as being problems, instead of just acknowledging that the community has issues beyond what valve has thrust upon us and we have a responsibility to fix them
