MiaKitsuneGraba's message to his team, Thursday 4th June:
Guys, you can't help but notice that there's no competition in division 1 nor any challanges waiting to be completed. The whole season will be just based on us prooving that we indeed are sandbagging.
This will be acompanied by:
- pointless scrims against div1 teams
- wasting time for pcws where we have no objective
- fun overload (as latetly)
- not a single fuck given about what we do wrong
- reducing the number of maps we want to play probably to zero
What's more... people will have to go to uni, probably before the season even ends. The playoff stage is within 3-4 week range from the last game of the main season.
So I say... think how it'd look in prem....
- quality games giving a return on the time invested
- some real fun happening (casted games, interviews : D)
- keen atmosphere during gaming hours
- our missplays exposed to the max - constanly improving
- 2 map scrim days where we feel our need for competition is fullfiled
.... and more
Seriously, I feel like this division 1 is not worth the effort and I know this change of heart comes out of nowhere but maybe that's what we need to salvage this team from troll mania.
Did our Discord get hacked or what?
Seriously? Publishing private conversations?
After the final tiers get published?
Jesus....
To clarify - this was my initiative after an absolute disaster of a scrim night. We didn't take the games seriously and I got pissed off. Since I'm the leader I decided to initiate a little debate. The quoted text is a result of my post-pcw cigarette reflections that turned out to be dispelled as soon as we got to the later part of the discussion which isn't presented here... what a surprise.
Mia ... obviously, I do believe we could do well in prem, which this "NOTHING-CHANGING TEXT" states, but it doesn't mean it's doable. For many reasons...
I'm sure the leader of your team also thinks you could do well in prem, that's probably why you signed up for Premiership Qualifiers. But as we can all see, the fact that he does doesn't mean you're playing there ... even if you, unlike us, were confirmed in the news (and got your TFTV interview ;D)

Also, do you seriously think it's ok to force a team that never declared to want to go to prem nor had a single organizational fail, to make up for people that just change their minds or forget about sign-ups?
Cause I don't.

As someone that has gone back and forth between playing in prem and div2, I feel like ultimately for me and what might be the same for others is that prem level TF2 is just not fun to play. It's not really about being rolled or whatever but it's more that it's such a fucking drag to play the season where the map pool, play style etc. is just so tiring.
I guess at the end of it all ETF2L is now at a point where if you don't care about prestige or the challenge anymore you'll really just want to play with a group of people that you enjoy spending time with. When you make the jump up to prem you'll find yourself playing against teams that have a massive advantage of teamwork/skill which makes the prospect of playing out the season in officials and scrims a lot less enjoyable.

Mia arent you more in the wrong considering you guys were about to go to prem and then decided not to? Aren't you guys in a worse position than Graba's team for this sort of thing?
I originally wasn’t that bothered to write a post here, but after I saw Mia’s comment absolutely EXPOSING my Polish medic for the villain he is I have to say my blood started to boil.
Firstly, I’d like to point out that the main people contributing arguments to this thread are those players in div 1 who presumably believe they’ll have smoother sailing in the absence of my team. Yes, there are some players on our team who have played prem, but let’s be real here:
• Me, who hasn’t played etf2l or much tf2 at all for near 2 years now.
• Chris, in the same position.
• Graba, who played prem four years ago with LUPUS? I mean do I really need to explain this one
• Utka, I don’t know honestly, still haven’t heard that guy talk in mumble
• Deli who played maybe 2 seasons of prem recently, but said himself he feels like he’d be better to play a season in div 1 to improve.
• Silves, has not played prem.
So there’s the facts on the players. Of course I don’t disagree that there is obviously an argument that yes, we could play prem, possibly winning a couple of matches. This has been pointed out by a couple of select individuals who seem hellbent on scanning logs.tf all day every day. Seeing as everyone loves logs so much, let’s have a look at a couple.
Vs Domo’s team
http://logs.tf/2567523
http://logs.tf/2567492
Vs The Compound (a div 1 team might I add, that has not even been mentioned in this thread)
http://logs.tf/2573959
http://logs.tf/2574004
Vs Boinicle, who sent their medic to attempt to expose us in this thread
http://logs.tf/2576371
http://logs.tf/2576313
http://logs.tf/2564192
http://logs.tf/2551139
http://logs.tf/2551087
Obviously it would be stupid to only talk about logs supporting our argument, so here are a select few where we do not so bad. I’m not gonna go through and find every single one, as I’m sure plenty of people are keen enough to do that anyway
http://logs.tf/2560989
http://logs.tf/2551023
http://logs.tf/2564243
What is my point here? I used to hear all the time that scrims are just scrims.
As you can see, we have a range of results vs both div 1 and premiership teams. In fact, the only premiership teams we have beaten in scrims are the French team and Virtus bro. But since when is it that ridiculous for a div 1 team to beat a prem team in a couple of scrims?
Recently we have still had perfectly close games vs div 1 teams. I’ll repeat once more that it just does seem like some of the players in those teams just can’t be bothered playing us in the main season, all because of a couple of games in which we have beaten them.
To be succinct, we didn’t sign up for prem because we didn’t want to. The delay to the season has certainly thrown a spanner in the works but overall I see it like this: play div 1 and continue to have close games vs the other top div 1 teams, or sign up for prem, win vs maybe one or two teams and come bottom table. At the end of the day we had a choice when signing up between these two options. I for one could not be bothered with the second one
Tl;dr we’re really not that good, please stop crying

Lmao @ everyone trying to defend themselves,
You're scared of losing and can't handle that experience, it's really that simple.
I can, I'm ready and excited for the next season of prem and what it brings, I'm confident in my team to be able to adjust and adapt to be capable of prem because the excitement of a challenge is what makes the game fun for me.

Tl;dr we’re really not that good, please stop crying[/quote]
