Explain to me how the articles points of: We don't know if there is life but there is certainly the possibility of life does not equivocate into "Possibility of life"

QuertBonafideSurely nothing has ever been debunked or newly discovered. Also the fermi paradox is not an answer it's a probability, and one of many theories.
http://waitbutwhy.com/2014/05/fermi-paradox.html
look at all that logic, batman!
iduno man, i give that way more credibility than a dude who basically says "space is big, so there is life."
which is what everyone keeps saying. you know, everyone who really doesn't know anything about space...
But what you just linked defnitely suggests a possibility of life????
Like the article you linked essentially says we know nothing and likely won't for a long time, so why are you linking an article filled with speculation to disprove speculation?
And why are you such a douche?
I agree nuclear would be the best option too with what we currently have.
I just don't know how we would manage it without spending a lot more money then NASA possibly has right now.
I wasn't referring to the volatility of power rather the construction or placement of a nuclear facility on a planet 140,000,000 miles away from earth with dust storms that engulf the planet for days at a time would be a bit tricky.
In addition waste disposal would still be an issue as carriers and submarines only temporarily hold their nuclear waste before delivering them to a permanent storage facility, so unless the plan is to build another storage facility along with the plant and have the specialized personnel for both the handling and disposal of waste then its still really a large problem.
Karlfission reactors essentially distill water so you would have power and clean water if you managed to get a nuclear reactor to mars.
You'd have to ship fuel and control rods out there too in addition to the not small task of placing a nuclear facility on environmentally hazardous planet, and that doesn't even begin to cover waste disposal so idk about the feasibility of that.
Has this LFT thread seriously turned into a debate about the merits of MGE
This is almost as bad as MGE itself

This is a masterpiece of a troll post.
Does this mean sin is promoting weed use in valve servers????
WE NEED TO TAKE ACTION TO STOP THIS HUGE THREAT TO OUR UPRIGHT, MORAL TF2 GAMERS
So I've been just looking at the characters they have released so far which sits at a total of 18 and fall under the following class breakdowns: 5 offense, 5 defense, 4 tanks, 4 support.
Note: Granted these class breakdowns are pretty fluid as they are capable of both defensive and offensive roles, and the supports aside from like mercy and lucio seem to have strong offensive capabilities.
Here's some of what appears to be extremely broken shit for a class based fps:
3/5 offensive characters have an ult which auto targets every enemy in the character's sight and kills them or deals ridiculous damage:
- McCree: Has a period where he can aim and lock on every enemy in his field of view, weaker enemies can be locked on faster, once finished attacks each one doing tons of damage
- Reaper: Area of effect ult which just targets every enemy nearby, no lock on period, just literally deals damage to everything nearby with autoaim
- Soldier 76: Auto-locks on all enemies in his field of view and deals massive damage, swaps to different target as previous one dies or leaves field of view
2/4 supports have just broken abilities that fucks anything regarding fights or strategies:
- Mercy: ult revives all nearby dead teammates with full health in the middle of a fight
- Symmetra: has an auto attack which autoaims on enemies and deals more damage the longer its hitting(which
seems pretty easy considering it autoaims for her)
- Symmetra: ult insta builds a teleporter which can bring any teammate from spawn immediately to her location in the middle of a fight
2/4 tanks have single target/area of effect stuns or movement cancelling abilities, McCree also has an insta stun:
- Roadhog: Has hook which can bring enemy from some location or distance immediately to in front of them, is incapable of firing or fleeing while hooked
- Zarya: Ult brings all nearby enemies together in area targeted to one location where they cannot flee/move for some time
- McCree: Flashbang insta stun at enemy he targets
5/5 defense are all either annoying or straight broken:
- Junkrat: Ult is remote controlled explosive that he can control for long distances across map and detonate on enemies outright killing or doing massive damage
- Hanzo: Has ability that activates wallhacks on an enemy in a certain area if they walk past it, Ult travels through fucking walls/obstacles and deals massive damage.
- Widowmaker: Global ult which gives all team wallhacks on enemy team
- Torb and Bastion: Engineer classes, just really annoying and not fun to play against
So yeah, this seems SUPER fun for an fps team game.
The only bright spot is that there seems to be more movement based abilities than I previously thought, also there is aim required for regular attacks, but almost none for the various abilities.
Literally cannot stop crashing.
It pretty much only happens when I die, no matter the class.
They played extremely well. GG to the Mango Boys, looking forward to a rematch.
PheeshBut valve doesn't even have to throw their own money after TF2 - As an example the main dota2 prize pool is player contributed. Give players a little item or badge to profess their support and x% of the money goes into a prize pool for a competitive tournament. No need for them to even plunk down their own cash (in fact they will get even more). They need to do very little if they want to pursue that.
Competitive or casual, overwatch is a threat to their playerbase. If they have zero interest in expanding TF2 why are they bothering with matchmaking this late in the game?
It's entirely possible this MM update nothing to do with expanding but rather maintaining to ensure that their player base doesn't all migrate to Overwatch.
Is it possible that old players will come back or new players will start playing after MM hits? Sure.
But it's entirely likely that MM is intended to keep the still large active player base from leaving the game that has essentially given them a hefty amount of free income for years now with an actual strong competitor on the horizon.
owlThe biggest story in the news right now is that pharma ceo who increased a toxoplasmosis drug to 750 bucks a pill and is making fun of people upset about it on twitter
It's not surprising that there are plenty of people out there willing to try and make a profit by lying to steam users
Still fucked up beyond belief, but it's the world we live in. God bless capitalism.
For context the sale price used to be $13.50 a tablet. It's over a 5000% increase for a 62 year old drug for people with weak immune systems like: babies, people with AIDS, and cancer patients.
Having moba attributes in a shooter isn't bad.
However, having an ultimate ability that aims for you is p bad in a shooter tho don't you think
Edit: Along with having multiple engy like classes which always leads to exciting, fast paced gameplay
I signed up for the Beta so maybe I can actually get some real impressions for it if I get in.
Because the classes legitimately look cool (esp with a demoman class just being added) but if its just a first person moba I will be very sad.
