#23 B> mechanical keyboard in Off Topic
Air_why post that you have 5 keyboards in a thread about someone wanting to buy when you're not selling? how fucking retarded are you waldo

model m's can be gotten quite cheap (from ebay for example).
stating he has 5 means he thinks they're great.
looks like a recommendation to me.

anyway, calm down dude

#14 Hiding dominations completely? in Q/A Help

i once used a plugin that removed dominations, but they were server-side.
i think it was this one: https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=1807594
the only thing that they did not remove were the voice-messages (you know -- when you dom someone or get revenge, your class will say something, or laugh, etc)

i doubt there's a (good) way to do this client-side :/

#9 Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge free on Origin in Other Games

campaigns like that have little to no replay value, so yeah after completing those it was all skirmish for me.
I didn't bother with MP too much because i'm a 'casual' kind of RTS player. i like to take my time, build a big base, turtle like a pussy, and (in RA2) level up my dope-ass troops.
good times, man!

wowow, nostalgia..
C&C, RA, RA2
great fucking RTS games.

don't forget to HD-WIDESCREEN your RA2 up! you can actually play RA2 in HD/widescreen without any kind of issue. you do not need a patch or anything. you just open the ini, set the width and height and you are done. also works with the YR expansion.

#12 Sound card or headphone amp? in Hardware

i have the ODAC + O2 combo and i love it. it's without a doubt among the best price-to-quality ratio combos that you can get. it also helps that this particular combo is one unit, in stead of two separate ones.

clean sharp sound, sufficient amplifying without distortion, no unwanted sound picked up from other sources.
and don't forget that this stuff will last you a lifetime. (and it's a bonus that it's light, takes up very little space, and does not get hot.)

definitely recommend

DavidTheWinx3Even if you change headphones, this can power up anything
Well maybe not 600ohm DT990s or something but in general yes.

some (if not all) producers will provide a gain switch on the O2, for which you can choose the settings yourself. for my 300ohm phones i went with 1x and 3x, but if you (might) use 600ohm phones you could just pick higher gain settings :)

#12 Mouse feet wearing out quickly in Hardware

could get them from ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tiger-Gaming-Zowie-AM-FK-Mouse-Feet-0-45mm-/111026464015?var=&hash=item5f7fa48686
reviews on those (tiger gaming) feet are very positive.
if you prefer amazon, they probably sell them as well. another plenty-mentioned brand is "hotline gaming".

i'd say hyperglides are better, but they cost significantly more (like 3 times as much).

#17 Gaming mouse and keyboard? in Off Topic
ShiftaIf you get lucky you can find an IBM model m for a few dollars. Probably the cheapest mech keyboard you'll find. Check craigslist and garage sales.

truth. some people actually give them away for free. (well, maybe you'd have to go and get it, or pay some shipping costs..)
most others sell them cheap.
keep in mind though, that they are very, very loud. if loud keyboards annoy you, or you live with someone who might be annoyed by them, then it's probably a bad choice.

two very small graphical things, forgot to post them earlier.
it looks like both supports of this doorway are just a bit too short:

this door is not aligned properly:

i'm not using any config :/
i know de-compiling maps can cause some funny issues, so i figured something went buggy with some tool brush nearby.
but if it's just me, then i guess there's nothing to worry about. no idea what could be causing it.

wish i could have some feedback for you when it comes to the actual layout of the map, but i guess i'm just lacking the insight ;p

there's only a really thin line that makes all that stuff disappear.
try hugging the wall there and just move very slowly towards the edge?

edit, this is more or less what i mean with 'thin line'.
while i'm inside that line, all the shit will disappear, but if i move outside of it, it just pops right back up again:

same is happening from this point:

then a small step towards the left, you see the left door disappearing:

nice! (add to OP?)

forward spawn and lowered times are a good start, they were definitely necessary

edit: i guess you decompiled the map and went from there? i'm getting graphical glitches not present in stock mountainlab.
the room behind the window is visible:

http://i.imgur.com/gLNmcOd.jpg

taking one step back, it just disappears:

http://i.imgur.com/If5b8os.jpg

the same is happening from this point:

after taking a step back:

also, there are (at least) two sets of stars that are not bulletblocked or playerclipped.
though i suggest you just go around the whole map, bulletblocking all the stairs.
a couple of sets are bulletblocked already, but most are just playerclipped.
same goes for small steps (like the first point), they should get some bulletblock love as well.

there are also things to snag on, like door-frames. so just like with the stairs, i'd just go from beginning till end and playerclip all that stuff.
