tibbyIf player commits x offence then punishment is x. No gray area/admin relationship bullshit, easy as that.
the issue with this is that it is very hard to work on things in a black/white way. most situations fall under some gray area and so while admin discretion may be inconsistent at times, it is the most flexible system to account for varying situations. I definitely agree that personal feelings should be left out, and so a ban repeal system, a ban recording system on the admin side, and an open transparency to all information regarding the ban, would be key to monitoring that.
Ways to make this possible would be to have actual ban repeal on the official website thats archived instead of under the vague channel help in the rgl discord where things get deleted after you "resolve" the situation. in terms of transparency admins should be putting forth all proof as to why the ban occurred in this archived section on the official website, so it can be accessed at any time by both parties. There should also be all notes left regarding the ban (perhaps an admin portal on the website idk what you have currently) that allows other admins to open and review the ban repeal/post. and there should be some system regarding multiple admins going through and reviewing the bans to confirm fairness.
