bearodactylpeople often try to find the 'best' mentor they can in hopes that they will be spoon fed all the information they need to know to improve at the game
sandblastpeople ask me to mentor them. i give them a demo review then they usually never message me again
agree to both of these.
to add to bears comment, a lot of newcomer/am/IM/Main players refuse to do demo reviews with anyone who isn't top 2 advanced/invite. So a big issue is that all those players get filled up on all the demos they want to do, and most of the mid-advanced plus players arent actively looking. I've added newcomer-main players off of their tftv looking for mentor threads, and they say they only want an invite mentor. anyone mid advanced plus is going to be able to give you a laundry list of improvements, and those people probably have more time, which means more dedicated time to you as a mentee. the pool of available and eligible mentors is a lot bigger than most people think, you just have to be willing to ask the right people.

pugs, scrims, mostly tf2 but maybe some variety as well.
the biggest counterargument I see is people complaining that they should be allowed to say what they want to say because they are entitled to say it. When asked about the consequence of it making people feel hurt or discriminated against, they just say those people are pussies and should deal with it.
Speaking from experience as an Indian person in this community I have experienced racial slurs directed at me, maliciously pretty much once every 2 or 3 weeks. Do I get hurt about them enough to go and report people, no? But that doesn't mean it didn't initially become something that in ESEA hurt me and that I had to build up a tolerance to because there was no other way to deal with it.
Ive never made reports on that basis, mostly because I'm lazy and desensitized to it so I don't care enough, but I have friends who care about me and want to report stuff like that so they do,
As much as you say you want to be able to say racial slurs and it's your right, Why is it your right that others should be expected to take that pain, and have nothing they can do about it? Just because I wouldn't report it doesn't mean that someone shouldn't have the option to report something and expect action.
RGL generally works on a reporting system. A lot of times they don't reveal the "whistleblower" because of the social impact. like was said before, this community is small. Someone should not get ostracized for wanting someone who directed a racial slur at them to be punished. If you got banned for using a racial slur it's because you hurt someone enough that they reported you to rgl not because you said the gamer word to your friends, Of course, I'm not saying RGL is perfect but it is definitely nice knowing that I at least have the option that I didn't have in esea.

shiki's been compromised
LieutenantLemonsidk seasons but i guess i want to play again
The return. This guy fucks on demo.
hes actually so good, perfect teammate, great player. he does it all. he always tries. He seriously is one of the most driven chill and dedicated players I have played with in many seasons.
I can honestly see fancy on the come up and playing top div1/invite in 2 or 3 seasons with the right teams and if he continues the grind that he has already been doing.
Just came home from work to this.

Juju, make sure you let people know you care for them asap. You never know when they'll be gone.

Yeah man I pretty much just fed a lot, I made my mistakes but we made team mistakes too. We were up 4 rounds and choked it. Watch this did a good job of adapting to what we were doing and we didnt do a good job of adapting back. GGs.

Most people use this discord to find scrims.
not true, while many do look there for scrims, most schedule in advance by a week. your best way to do scrims in the preseason is to go to the lfp and add leaders who are your div on there. in the season it's to add the leaders of teams in your div, try to keep a regular schedule so you can schedule weekly scrims with the same teams that match your skill. since its main and i know leaders post in the lfp on the rgl discord you can also message them on there.
Bane_Loafe knows me too well. Played a whole, what 3 games with him? I guess i HATE losing, LMAO. Keep riding slices dick my man. Slice its hard to be teammates with you. You're the main reason that i fucked off.
1.) loafe has played for more than just those 3 matches with me, he knows how I operate.
2.) Noone else on the team had any issues with me, because I always put forward constructive criticism. I don't berate my teammates or yell at them. I also don't sugarcoat things. if you are messing up I'm experienced enough to know why our main/div2 team is fucking up and I'm going to point it out. I equally take fault in the mistakes I make.
3.) if you had issues you should communicate with me, not fuck off leaving everyone in the dry. Tlar and I get into fights all the time about what the team should be doing but we always communicate and figure it out.
4.) if you want to join a serious team you won't find a team that doesn't get frustrated when the team is in a slump. many members of our team showed frustration during that week, not just me, but everyone kept it constructive. we formulated plans to figure out what was wrong. we demo reviewed and map reviewed and during product week were improving certain things.
this is how any team operates that is serious. teams have ups and downs, that's regular on a path to improvement. this is a team that's been together for a season and played that season winning the div meaning there weren't many low times. it also started the season off winning a lot. when we started losing you didn't communicate and left, so yes from loafes perspective, you HATE losing.
left our team 3 days post roster lock before our projected playoffs run because he "lost interest". he's good, but if you have a low point in your team as we did for a week he might leave. our team which was full-time scrimming and serious is now match only because of when our sub demo can play.
maybe if you were serious and trying all the time to improve you wouldn't fuck over one of the most serious-minded teams, one who is already planning to move to div 2 next season and was scrimming and winning against div 2 solid teams while you were on the roster.
hes sick, should play invite
