#65 NullCoreCheat VAC detected in TF2 General Discussion
OppeboHow tf do some of you know so much about cheats all i know is to stay the heck away from them and anything affiliated with them

Some people like challenges, love playing games, and are good/decent at programming or would like to improve those skills. Building a working/reliable cheat while not getting caught is a challenge that could help improve ones knowledge of game design and programing, and in the case of lmaobox and nullcore make a decent chunk of money while doing it.

You also have to know at least a little bit on how a cheat works to be able to find cheaters.

Also the risks of using/making a cheat for a F2P valve game are extremely low. You can/could make as many accounts as you want and never worry about losing all your items cause valve bans steam IDs not people, and valve doesn't sue cheat makers.

#10 most hated tf2 teams in history in TF2 General Discussion
sheafComangliaWasn't their an open team like 3 years ago with a full time heavy and a FaN scout?Sounds like thief and Jigger Joe. I shit you not I was thinking about Jigger Joe yesterday while I was lying in bed waiting to fall asleep. As strange as that sounds, it doesn't answer the implacable question: what kind of person plays *thousands* of lobbies exclusively as stock heavy?

Yeah those guys. I remember a lot of teams refused to scrim them.

fade-Comangliastrazyyyfade-shockingly there's a lot of people that get denied buying the cheat bc you need a referral through one of two people so that cuts down on a lot of morons who haven't used cheats before
does this mean baskl wont cheat in ugc ever

that means he wouldn't get a private cheat.

hes begged me and miketf2 countless times

it's just that none of us want to spend the effort doing stuff for free for someone who's literally braindead and answering questions about the hack because he has the emotional appeal of a fucking cactus

he also thinks u put a cheat in ur autoexec and argued with me over that ????
Show Content

5:17 PM - pootis_jesus: so u just put the file in ur auto exec?

Love this mouse, hate the Zowie FK, the Zowie EC2a is alright. Only complaints I have is the mouse cable is a tad stiff and that my pinky occasionally touches my mouse pad.

#27 Time travel in Off Topic
Screwballpendabarring time travel fuckups and changing the futureThen what would be the point?

IDK you might learn something. Have you ever seen a 10th century coronation of a King? Have you ever heard Latin from native speakers? There's plenty of things you could go back in time and experience or learn about without really effecting the past except you would probably carry extremely deadly diseases back in time.

-edit-
after rereading the OP I think I've completely misunderstood what he was asking to begin with. Do you mean erasing 1 event and nothing about today would change, which would be pointless as screwball pointed out, or do you mean erasing 1 event from history that would change nothing or nearly nothing about today?

#62 first time u played tf2 in TF2 General Discussion
flatlinefuck these garbo drug threads let's have a real thread

do you remember the first time you played tf2? what happened?

the first time i launched tf2 i got the huntsman and walked out of turbine shutter and air-headshot a scout jumping off the crates

Not sure about the 1st time but one of the earliest times I played on a friends account was after the Heavy update and I remember playing spy and stabbing the shit out of all the dumbass heavies running natascha.

#40 Sniper aim training in TF2 General Discussion

From UGC HL S13 to S15 my practice for sniper looked mostly like this.

5 to 10 minutes of mouse control practice using either of these sites.
http://www.aimbooster.com/
http://aim400kg.com/ea/

it helps in getting you warmed up and help to efficently hold/move your mouse

I would then play on tr_aim_training (only a couple times a week)
I would go to this room http://gamebanana.com/maps/104304
And stand on the blue dot furthest from the wall. I would put my crosshair on the red square and flick to each blue, green, white and then red square from that center red square (going much further than this is kinda pointless cause your crosshair should be a lot closer to your target than that otherwise you're doing something really wrong.) I would do each square until I hit them 5x in a row.

Ex. Flicking from the red center square to the white square immediately to the right. hit, miss, hit, hit, miss, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit move on to the next square (I would work counter clockwise but that doesn't matter much)

In s15 this usually took me about 20minutes to do (I only did this practice like twice a week cause it's boring as fuck, highly recommend a good music playlist and turning in game sound off)

I would then pub on my favorite servers Skial Badwater US or Skial Badwater LA if those were full I would play Skial Upward TX. For however long I wanted to. (Usually about an hour or 2)

Occasionally I would play SvS servers they help a little bit in dealing with other snipers, and in warmup as well but it's probably the least efficient way of getting ready for 6s.

tr_walkway was alright if you wanted to practice tracking or aiming without scoping in.

And then of course scrims/matches. Usually I played in 4 to 6 scrims a week.

As for the "fastest" probably depends on your skill level but just do whatever you enjoy and have fun doing at least that way time doesn't really matter.

#539 Comanglia's Config / FPS Guide in Customization
slizzI am really sorry for bumping this thread, but I just have a question.
Does anyone know the command for making the textures (of skins for example) look nice or normal? (not jambled and pixelated)

thanks

#3 How do nerdstars work? in Site Discussion

it's some factor of +frags, and number of posts you have. I know that for sure.

Other possible factors that I can only speculate about
Ratio of posts with significant +frags vs no frags or -frags
Number of posts with XX amount of + frags ex 50 or higher plus frags posts

Threads might give a bigger bonus than posts for all I know.

Pretty sure the 2 threads I have about my config account for close to 2 of my nerdstars.

NakadaI think I read somewhere you need 500 posts for 1 full star

Not quite true
http://www.teamfortress.tv/user/hamaham 17 posts nearly 1 star
http://www.teamfortress.tv/user/Dane 106 posts nearly 2 star
http://www.teamfortress.tv/user/Parapsych 48 posts nearly 2 star

#13 Quick question about sensitivity <1 in Customization

http://www.funender.com/quake/mouse/index.html

According to this if you use a really high dpi with a low in game sens you could experience significiant negative accel.

For example you use 1600 dpi @1920 x 1080, 0.5 in game sens, 200 fps.

cm/360 = 51.9
in/360 = 20.4
Useful DPI = 295
Accel = 0
Neg. Accel at Max speed of 3.048m/s

Change only the DPI to 800 and the sens to 1 and you get.

cm/360 = 51.9
in/360 = 20.4
Useful DPI = 295
Accel = 0
Neg. Accel at Max speed of 6.096m/s

Taking this to an extreme at set a mouse to the DPI of 12000 with 0.07 ingame sens and you get

cm/360 = 49.4
in/360 = 19.4
Useful DPI = 309
Accel = 0
Neg. Accel at Max speed of 0.4064m/s

Which would make playing really inconsistent.
