belgium is a horrible country and no one should vote for anyone over there, in fact they should probably be taken over by a better group of people, because they clearly support lying to the rest of Europe that they will improve an area and not tax trade, then go back on everything, ignore living conditions, mutilated/killed people who didn't meet rubber quotas, take tons of materials from the area for Belgium, be responsible for an incalculable amount of deaths in that area, among other horrors, due to something a leader of theirs did 131 years ago which is obviously still relevant today.

you realize this president gets to make what looks to be anywhere from 1 to 4 supreme court appointments right, we have 2 already over the average on retirement age and 1 who will go over it during this next term.

that's one of the most hands on things a president gets to do because it affects all of our rulings and laws (for anywhere from the next 10 to 40+ years) for like roe v wade, which trump has already said he'll get overturned the instant he can with his appointment(s).

so i guess if you want supreme court justices that slant towards those "dumbass racist white people" (and lets be honest, you might as well mean guys here if we're starting with roe v wade get overturned) then more power to you i guess.

but it's not really possible for anyone elected to be hands off this election due to the supreme court appointments tbh.

But ye, Valve doesn't really get their hand forced easily. If they want to do something, they'll do something, and they'll make sure it's that way. The only thing that works to change their mind is en masse support of something and the competitive community can't even do that for hiding viewmodels without devolving into a pissing contest on Valve (and somehow failing to even just post en masse which is the easiest thing of all time) then pubs sure as hell aren't going to either. If you can't get people to unite on a cause in a mostly polite way you're not going to get what y'all want. It's not even hard to do.

Your bluff failed because you didn't realize Valve had a royal flush: no one really cares that much about custom viewmodel animations on Valve's servers, so Valve isn't really pissing anyone off (other than people who want no viewmodels). Anyone that mods TF2 is doing so much more than just viewmodel animations that they won't care that much because everything else they use is blocked anyways. Notice that no one on r/tf2 is even complaining about the removal because of their modded animations, just that they can't remove the viewmodels with it anymore.

I think it's more you underestimated how few people on the casual side would care or notice...casuals aren't really the people modding their TF2 in the first place - it's hardcore pub players, and the ones who do don't stop at just animations.

I can't check my alt at the moment but we've had 1 or 2 reports of that happening, it just magically clears up randomly. It's one of the other reasons it seems to be server side on Valve's end. But plenty of people from when it was originally discovered still had broken games while others had theirs fixed in a day or two. Hopefully others that can check their accounts will chime in.

Got all the dumps updated, and thanks #44 for the much needed r/tf2 visibility. That combined with truktruk nabbing jill whenever he decides to get in will hopefully be enough, but feel free to keep emailing Valve and stuff too.

No one's yet reported this issue happening to them in Casual yet, and considering I imagine casual is the more played form of matchmaking I would assume it doesn't exist there.

No, every other game works okay including Valve games.

There isn't a known fix for the specific issue we're having, no, and unless Valve fixes it before match time you're probably boned.

With the Error Message Handling being messed up, it's hard to say if #17 is even having the same issue as us, but it's pretty unlikely because even with a full Steam & TF2 folder wipe and refresh install with Steam Cloud off (so it isn't pulling anything over) the game still crashes.

I updated the OP on how to find your dumps for this crash btw, for those who haven't done it before but have the issue. I'm hoping as Euro prime time starts to roll in more of the Euros affected by this will get on and post dumps.

If anyone isn't affected by this and wants to ACTUALLY do something useful, email/message Valve employees with us. Get some visibility on the issue.

If you are affected by it, on top of posting dumps posting more detail on the exact steps you took in matchmaking prior to the error would be helpful in locking down repro steps.

I made a new thread since this thread is originally about another problem with the same error message and I've seen it confuse a lot of people, #85 & #86 and everyone else who hasn't please feel free to post dumps in it or continue correspondence with Valve employees directly. Please do not bother Steam Support, this isn't their job. Please don't talk about pointless stuff like McAfee.
