DigresserDave_I had to use a VPN at my uni because the ports for mumble were blocked etc.
http://www.earthvpn.com/
I've tried private internet access, vyprvpn, etc etc and they seemed to have an issue where you'd get random ping spikes which would cause you to lag out for a second. EarthVPN is also cheaper ($4/mo) and works better in my experience.
Just FYI using a VPN on Steam is against the Steam Subscriber Agreement. I don't know if they currently do anything about it, but I figured I'd provide a heads up.
Really? Never knew that. Been using one for years.

While TF2 is very CPU dependent, it does not utilize hyperthreading/more than 4 cores unless you turn on multithreading for bones. If you're streaming, go for the i7; the extra threads will help a lot. If you're not streaming and budget is a huge issue, get the i5. You don't "NEED" them to run tf2 @ 120fps but valve might change something in their updates etc.
If you can afford it and are streaming, i7. If not, just get the i5; you won't see much difference at all. Overclocking helps a lot too with source as far as the CPU goes.
JojoIt may seem like a cutting board, but it doubles as an incredible mousepad.

it's above your budget but if you like hard pads, this is as close to an icemat as you can get (plus it's larger)

SetsulMy point was that the guy who thought that not having raw input is such a significant problem that he spent time writing a fix, thinks that Valve's rawinput is fine and you don't need his fix anymore.
People think 60Hz is fine too--basically YMMV w/this.
Update: after using it for a few days and going back to rawinput (due to not wanting to have to inject shit into my game), it's nice and all but really it's not game changing. Maybe it'll be helpful for games that have poorly implemented mouse engines (console ports?).
