Reading up a bit about vpks, it seems that fonts (TTF files, unsure about otf) don't work properly in vpk files

because when placed into just folders, it will only load/mount things like fonts and such when called upon, thus making your tf2 hang or crash. Vpk files do not have such issues as they mount on game start.

I HIGHLY recommend you guys pack your custom files (HUDs especially) into vpk files. You may have to change the fonts inside clientscheme.res to lower case though

Community Lugers got glitched into tradable items when they turned all former Lugermorphs into Vintage quality before Poker Night came out.

I would HIGHLY recommend packing your existing huds inside VPK files. You'll probably have to edit clientscheme.res to turn all the font names into lower cases, though.
