eXtine12. The food at the hotel bar is underwhelming, but it is a bar directly upstairs from the LAN.
Looking into getting a casting setup for the SF (and smash bros?) Tourney. I got a black magic card I can bring with me, and I've been chatting with the admins already... console -> projector -> capture card? Hopefully that'll work, I don't want to add input delay through routing it into the capture card.
I'll actually be trying to cast all the tourneys, especially considering that FITES tries to schedule tourneys so everyone can compete in everything. L4D2 finals were awesome but we didn't have the spectator slot worked out last year :/
Fragile - Definitely pester WW to come!!!
Wait, there is a full bar upstairs? Are we allowed to be a little drunk?

zigzterturtsmcgurtshi a friend and I are going to be dipping into this game and were wondering what a good combo would be class wise, and what the farming map is right now. last I played it was some crypt one where you ran around with a snow-storm around your wizard breaking the vases and resetting after 30 seconds.Those crypt gold runs got nerfed hard.
i like monk, is monk viable?
From what I've been reading/seeing, in terms of effectiveness (both skill-wise and how much it costs to gear) the classes go barb > monk > wizard > WD > DH.
I'd go with a combo of the top 3, though I'd get one wizard if you're planning on running that perma-freeze build. DH is viable if you either get extremely lucky with drops you can sell on the AH, or spend real money on the AH to gear your DH. I just dropped $5 on 50mil or however much it was to gear my DH. She's around 230k DPS now with about 22 mil left to spend, and I can farm MP5 easily. (Just finished an MP7 keywarden run with a freeze wizard.)
As a DH you should be able to do mp10 at around 250K as long as you have some good all res and the right skills

Question about RAM

Since my Corsair dual channel 8 gig decided to die, thus the crashes, I had to buy another 8 gig dual channel. While I used to love Corsair, their RMA process takes way too long, so I ended up buying Gskill during the cyber Monday sale. I still plan on RMA'ing the old dual channel 8 gig Corsair very soon, but it will take 2-3 weeks to get them and by tomorrow I will have the Gskill RAM. What should I do with the replacement RAM that I receive? They are both the same timings and speed, 12800 @ 9-9-9-24, should/can I place two different RAM brands? So it would be 1 and 3 as one brand, and 2 and 4 slots as another? While I know it's possible from working in a IT salvage yard, I don't really know if doing this would hurt from a performance POV.
Any thoughts?

It shouldn't be that bad, but if you're going to upgrade anyways why not OC to up your cpu speed? I'm running the 2500K at 3.8ish with no real problems, other than RAM dying.
