Even though this has been discussed to death, I would like to bring up the point (which has been brought up before but not as much) that so what if it didn't? There is a reason people donate thousands of dollars for teams to play at a lan every couple of months. The main reason people are donating is not as some future investment to grow tf2 into some super esport, it is to watch awesome tf2. A lot of the community want to see NA/EU/AU play at a lan environment because that is fucking awesome, and there isn't any need pass that to really qualify a donation drive for us. Would it be cool for it to grow tf2, sure but its enough for most just to want to see mix^ shit all over other continents tf2 scene.

The reason you don't see this type of super team in ESEA is because teams have to act like teams. The reason why you wont see b4nny on a team like mix^ is that they have two completely different styles of calling, practicing and playing the game in general. I would much rather see bp or mix^ go to lan with the 6 people they want because I know they will act like a team and bring a much better game than an All-Star team.

It sounds like it will be a personal fund raiser from the teams (mix^ at least) and my guess is that they are more than willing to take a few day/weeks to set things up properly and risk... striking colder iron I guess and not come out of the gate with a massive fuck up or misunderstanding that will taint the entire fundraiser.

That aside, I think it is safe to say that nothing has really come from unlocking this thread that wasn't discussed in the 2013 happy birthday mumble event. People are going to point fingers at each other and it is all hearsay unless someone confesses or the ISP/Authorities does something. It was proven that the alt was an imposter with the real bunny stopping by. It was on the previous page. The imposter than made some try to be smart ass remark about how what the real bunny said was a joke and that he was done (assuming done meaning done trying to be the imposter). I will take streams over mentoring if the streams are somewhat consistent. Streams are something that the entire community can be benefit from and it is much more interesting to me personally to see how the teams interact and work together than have cyzer tell me how to slightly improve my movement.

Yes, teams don't owe me a stream but an explanation on why certain teams don't allow certain players to stream would be nice. Again, the invite teams going to lan all have players that are more than willing to stream, the technology exists to mute mumble on live streams (which tagg has shown to use) and there is almost never something done in game that the comms are needed for invite level players to understand what happened (As hableu once insinuated on a stream, there is rarely something said in-game that will reveal anything and, as long as the team knows they are streaming, they know not to talk about in-depth strategy talk randomly during a match). So it would be really nice to know why a team like bp does not like their players streaming scrims and if they might stream if people donate for them to do so.
