#46 G2 signs TF2 Epsilon team in Off Topic

Great to see TF2 players given the sort of sponsorship and financial backing they deserve for their skill, dedication to a video game and hard work.

Sad to see this isn't in TF2, the game they spent all of that time becoming great at.

AdmirableHallowtek is significantly better than tviq at sniping imo. and who goes sniper can often be dependent on spawn timings rather than position. it's not absurd to think tek might snipe a little bit
Are you high, nigga? TviQ is the greatest of all time 8)

You never played against Max, you lucky fellow you 8)

Will you be reforming Crack Clan with Ipz, Tviq and Smzi now?

-fish-HildrethTerrible attitude and you will remain in the lower levels of the league for ages, I have never met a High level player thats complained about sandbagging in my life, maybe because they actually want the challenge?
The problem is you can't learn from a complete roll. The two rounds we won were from them throwing and offclassing.

I think people can learn from a complete roll, I think it's more like you can't learn from a complete roll because you think these guys are actually sandbaggers, evidence you can't actually decipher the real reasons you lose. And that isn't anybodies problem but your own, so maybe go through some Demos of them when they beat you and learn what they do well that you guys don't do well and then come up with ways to beat them instead of posting on the forums. Time spent viewing this thread is time that could have been spent on a Demo learning the art of countering Erika on Demoman.

#94 Epsilon pull out of Dreamhack in LAN Discussion
the301stspartanzenHildrethMike can't get the Friday off work? It's time he learned the art of "pulling a sickie".It's Black Friday. If he works in retail chances are he would be fired.
That'd be nice, he could use all the money he gets from the labor lawsuit against his boss to fund his trip.

Well I'd never encourage someone to miss work for a video game, wasn't entirely serious but yeah they can't just fire you for being sick, against the law (though if they could prove you weren't sick, you'd be in shit!).

That's why it's an "art".

Wait you refunded the money? Just go with a mix team, great chance of coming 3rd, maybe even 2nd, get some prize money, keep sponsors happy so that next year we can get the top 4 in EU (or top 4 in world???) to go as they can prepare for it. I was under the impression this was the motivation behind the tournament.

#70 UGC Sandbagging at its finest. in The Dumpster

Team goes 4-3 in Silver:

"MUST BE SANDBAGGING".

Just because players have experience at a certain level doesn't mean they are always going to be that level and just because players don't have experience at a certain level doesn't mean they aren't able to play higher levels over time with practise.

For ETF2L 6v6 I played in Premiership a few seasons but it doesn't mean that I am "too good for High" and meanwhile as I don't practise and play as much, it's harder to keep your level up, whilst in High there are several good Demoman probably better than me that don't have the same experience, take Spudd for example, much better than me at the game but 3 seasons ago nobody would say that because he never played the level, just because he has never played the level doesn't mean he won't be better than people who currently do play the level.

Way I see it is teams should be happy to play versus players with good experience because then when you beat them on the journey from Lower levels to the Top, you can use it as a pointer to say "this is where we knew we were good enough to win the league". Instead you got all these players complaining they have to face "good" players, rather than actually try to beat them.

Terrible attitude and you will remain in the lower levels of the league for ages, I have never met a High level player thats complained about sandbagging in my life, maybe because they actually want the challenge?

#406 PARIS TERRORIST ATTACK in Off Topic

I like how this thread has just got everyone latching on to their political agenda, how about some sympathy for the victims?

World is a pretty fucked up place, events like this remind us of how different we all are, we need to celebrate how much alike we all are, for example talk about our love of TF2. After all, that is why we're here.

#18 UGC Highlander Season 17 Week 7 in News

I'm confused Brooky, are TF.TV cutting all HL coverage or not?

On TF.TV we can't even get a newswriter to write about Prem week in week out, I wanted to this season but stuff that is more important to me got in the way. I like writing and if I had the time I'd do write ups on every league, every division in every gamemode but I cannot.

Newswriting aside, maybe TF.TV should focus on newer and better methods to create news content, perhaps look to produce more live shows or make videos? Resources are scarce enough I doubt that can be achieved without some $$$ behind it.

I am also obviously against restricting coverage of an entire format, I always found Enigma accommodating when I approached him about covering HL, if there is a U-turn here, whatever the motivations are it's wrong, considering TF.TV was made to be the "Central Hub of TF2".
